My analysis on karma, D10 & kalacakra;

Reminder of house concepts; Trines;1). Guru Kraka of 5 & 9 ka tatva

_2). 9th house from any house protects it dharma protects a bhva Dharma of eyes (2nd house) is sight (10th house) Dharma of ears (3rd house) is hearing (11th house) Dharma of nose (4th house) is smell (12th house) Dharma of marriage (7th house) is sex (3rd house) Dharma of happiness (4th house) is sleep (12th house) Dharma of spiritual path (4th house) is moka (12th house) Follow the dharma of bhva and it is protected _3). Trikoa Dharma(nature) 1, 5, 9 Artha (status) 10, 2, 6 Kma (desire) 7, 11, 3 Moka (spiritual) 4, 8, 12 The quadrants, in order of 1st, 4th, 7th & 10th are stronger than the Upacaya in the order 3rd, 6th & 11th (10th has been excluded as it is considered the strongest quadrant). The Upacaya are stronger than the trine fifth & ninth houses (the ascendant is excluded in this as it is placed among the quadrants). The 2nd & 12th houses have no strength of their own and depend on the other house lordship of their owner. The 8 is always evil and is never stronger than the ascendant. Thus on the basis of lordship the planets can be placed in the following ascending order of natural strength (influence) in the chart: - 2nd, 12th, 5th, 9th, 3rd, 6th, 11th, 8th, 1st, 4th, 7th & 10th house lord. It is evident that the tenth lord is the most influential planet in the chart as the tenth house is the most potent house for any planet to be placed. This fact should be borne in mind while analyzing Rjayoga and Duryoga i.e. combinations for prosperity and penury. Kendrdhipati doa or the negative effect of the ownership of quadrants by natural benefic planets implies reduction in their beneficence. The benefic owner of a quadrant is still a benefic and does not become a malefic. This flaw is annulled if the planet is also well placed in a quadrant or trine. This loss of beneficence of a benefic lord of quadrant is called Kendrdhipati doa Similarly, a malefic planet owning a quadrant will not remain so malefic and that does not imply that the malefic becomes a benefic, it will still sheds its malfeasance but will give very good results if placed in an evil house. If instead, the planet is placed in a quadrant or trine, the loss of malfeasance may not occur fully. For example if Saturn is the lord of the 10th house for Taurus ascendant, its placement in the 12th house in debility will give excellent results like power, position and a good career. If the malefic is also the lord of a trine in addition to its ownership of a quadrant, then it becomes a yogakraka producing auspicious results. 8 carakaraka scheme; is meant for jivatma(animate world living beings). Pk, the significator for progeny is included as living beings procreate.
The Eight carakaraka are AK; the real self or soul and its mission, AmK karma yoga, work,, BK knowledge, Guru, siblings, MK; nurture and heal, mother, PK procreate, leadership, children, PiK protect, father, GK oppose, destroy, relatives, enemies,, DK sustain, spouse, wealth. Maraa kraka sthna in D1; Maraa means death; kraka means significator and refers to the carakraka as well; sthna means position or house. This can be used for birth rectification. If the AK Planet is; Then the following house from the atmakraka will become the marana karaka sthana= it will destroy the karakas (ex; will destroy DK if DK is there), will destroy houses if their lord (include dual lordship) or arudha is there Sun as AK = the 12th from AK will destroy any karakas (of planet, house or arudha) Moon as AK = the 8th & 7th from AK will destroy any karakas (of planet, house or arudha) Mars as AK= the 4th from AK will destroy any karakas (of planet, house or arudha) Merc as AK = the 3th from AK will destroy any karakas (of planet, house or arudha) Jup as AK= the 6th from AK will destroy any karakas (of planet, house or arudha) Ven as AK= the 1st from AK will destroy any karakas (of planet, house or arudha) Sat as AK= the 9th from AK will destroy any karakas (of planet, house or arudha) Rahu as AK = the 9th from AK will destroy any karakas (of planet, house or arudha) Raths Research 1.Planets, houses and ruha in the maraa kraka sthna from the tmakraka are destroyed. 2.If dhrkraka, Jupiter or 2nd lord is so placed then wealth is destroyed and poverty results. 3.If dhrkraka, Venus or 7th lord is so placed then relationships suffer and spouse maybe destroyed. The planets can be divided into three groups based on the concept of yogi and avayogi. These are Group 1: Upper Class: Sun, Rahu and Mercury: All three gunas prevail (but more rajas). The nexus between politics (Sun), criminals (Rahu) and business (Mercury) that represent the upper class in any society. These are the enjoyers of the power and retain the same ruthlessly using all means and money to control. These three are interdependent on the other and it is necessary to identify the need of each category. Group 2: Middle Class: Moon, Jupiter and Ketu: satva guna dominates. Socialists or people in general (Moon), teachers (Jupiter) and spiritualists or mystics (Ketu) that rule the morality of the middle class with promises of a better life after death form the core of this group. Group 3: Lower Class: Mars, Venus and Saturn: some rajas and mostly tamas, Saturn rules all workers who are motivated by the need for gratification of desire (Venus). Mars rules the more skilled workers who use tools and unsafe or dangerous mechanisms their work. In simpler words, these skilled workers need the implements and machines (Saturn) to do their work. Even warriors ruled by Mars need weapons (Saturn) to fight. Venus the goddess of lust and sexuality needs hungry men (Mars) to ogle at her. She complains that they have dirty eyes but chuckles inside when her gyration hypnotizes and captures the weak minds of the energetic young men. For example, if Jupiter is in the fifth house the native maybe an authority in a vedga like Jyotia or the Sun so placed can make one an authority in administration or politics. The Moon gives considerable knowledge of people and culture. The fifth house is the eighth from the tenth house representing birth (beginning) and longevity (time of implementation) of an action (10th house). Thus, the fifth house rules authority and power that one enjoys due to skills & knowledge as well as ones Prva Punya. Since the eighth house indicates transformation and the fifth house, being the eighth from the 10th house shows the transformation of work or change of work. His house is seen for joining new jobs, additional authority as well as the continuation of rjayoga. The timing of joining a new job is done from the fifth house. In this manner the houses are to be examined if they contain planets. If the houses do not have planets, consider the lord of the house. All these are modified by aspects of planets.

Cont. of Houses in Dasa ; The lagna lord will show what we want and our nature in work and work related situations/events. For example the lagna lord in the 9th house makes a person very independent behaving like the boss and incapable of listening to others while in the 5th house it makes him dependant on subordinates to help in his work. The fifth lord well placed gives good subordinates while an ill placed fifth lord can give troublesome subordinates.

A careful judgment has to be made between the 6th and 7th houses to determine whether the native shall work for others (6th house- service) or independently (7th house business). Normally (1) larger number of planets, (2) association of Karaka, Jupiter or lord of sign (3) Lagna lord in case of tie, helps in the decision. Da can alter the result. If both are equally strong then the native works for sometime before venturing into business. All natural significations of houses and signs for ri chart are to be applied to the dasa chart as well. requirements for Government Service ; 1 The Moon ruling the bureaucracy should be in the artha trikona (2, 6, 10 houses) or strongly associated with these houses. 2. The 6th house (service) should be stronger than the 7th house (independent business). 2. Malefic planets in 7th house also indicate service as they ruin business prospects. 3. Saturn the significator of service should be strong. 4. GL should be examined for power and position enjoyed in the service. To know; D10 occupied by lords of rasi charts; Effect of Exaltation and Debilitation in D10; an exalted or debil. lord of Kendra or artha trikona in D10 will certainly boost or wreck the karaka of his house (s). Directions & klacakra; Dasamsa deities 1. Red objectives/ karmic directions of the dasa. All works (or karma) can be divided into ten groups symbolized by the ten directions eight plane directions, vertical up and vertical down. 2. Blue blocks, obstructions of the kalacakra (wheel of time) Success is obstructed by the eight kla of the klacakra and it is only through effort and time (kla) that the obstruction is removed. 3. Deities of directions should be worshipped to overcome the blocks The dgpla (also dig-pla) is the administrator (devat) of a direction of work and the fruits of karma (success in a work) is given by the akti of the dgpla (also called dg-vadhu in the iva tandava stotra).

Yogini Dasa ; is a Tantric dasa (gross elements) that shows the impact of different yoginis on (the body of) a person at different periods.
Yogini Dasa is an extremely popular Nakshatra dasa. It is widely used in North India, especially the hilly areas of Uttarakhand and Kashmir. Traditional pundits of North India as a rule always calculate Yogini Dasa besides Vimshottari dasa. Yogini dasa was first taught by lord Shiva to Parvati. It is dealt in Mansagari Paddhatti besides Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra. MAIN FEATURES OF YOGINI DASA; In Yogini dasa total number of 36 years are allotted to 8 yoginis. (Ketu does not have lordship over any Yogini) After end of one cycle of yogini dasa of 36 years the next cycle automatically starts. Points to be remembered; 1. The results get modified according to strength and placement of the lord of yogini. 2. Study all the points that are to be considered while studying vimshottari dasa. 3. See the position of lords of yoginis in different divisional charts. 4. Blend the results of yogini and vimshottari dasa before giving results. 5. Completion of one cycle and beginning of another cycle of yogini dasa is marked by major changes and turning point in life. TABLE of YOGINI DASA MAJOR AND SUB PERIODS ; results based on Mansagari Paddhati and own experience,

Dasa of Aries may give enterprise or quarrels or wounds. More importantly, dasa of a rasi gives the results of the house and planets in that rasi. If Aries has the 5th house in D-7, its dasa may give children. If Pisces has the 8th house in D-6, its dasa may give diseases. If Gemini has lagna in D-24, its dasa may give all-round progress in the accumulation of knowledge. If Sc has AL in D-10 and its lord Mars occupies it, its dasa may bring good developments related to career and status. Dasa of a rasi containing the 8th from AL in D-10 may give a fall in status at workplace. Dasa of a rasi may also give the results of its lord. If Mars is in the 5th house in D-7, Aries dasa may give children. Samudaaya Ashtakavarga (SAV) plays an important role in deciding the results in a dasa. If a rasi has too many or too few rekhas in SAV of a particular divisional chart, then its dasa may bring favorable or unfavorable results, respectively, relating to the significations of that house in that divisional chart. Usually dasas of rasis with 30 or more rekhas in D-10 SAV bring the best phases in ones career and dasas of rasis with 30 or more rekhas in in D-24 SAV bring the best periods for learning. One should keep SAV of various divisional charts with one when interpreting Kalachakra dasa. Deha and Jeeva Rasis we listed the deha and jeeva rasis of different nakshatra padas. However, these hold for one born at the beginning of the nakshatra pada. One can have different deha and jeeva rasis based on the elapsed portion in the nakshatra pada. Deha and jeeva rasis are simply the rasis of the first and the ninth dasas in the case of one born in a savya nakshatra. In the case of one born in an apasavya nakshatra, deha and jeeva rasis are the rasis of the ninth and the first dasas. the first dasa is Sc and the ninth dasa is Sg. Since Rohini is an apasavya nakshatra, Sc becomes jeeva rasi and Sg becomes deha rasi. In Error! Reference source not found., the first dasa is Pi and the ninth dasa is Ar. Since Punarvasu is a savya nakshatra, Pi becomes deha rasi and Ar becomes jeeva rasi.Deha rasi shows body and jeeva rasi shows the spirit. Benefics and malefics transiting in them affect them positively and negatively (respectively). If Jupiter, Mercury and Venus are transiting in ones jeeva rasi, one may exhibit a positive spirit and be cheerful. If Mars, Sun, Saturn and Rahu are transiting in ones jeeva rasi, one maybe without any enthusiasm. If Mars, Sun, Saturn and Rahu are transiting in ones deha rasi, one may face accidents or death. Gatis (special movements) We see that dasas progress in a regular fashion in Kalachakra dasa. We either go as Ar, Ta, Ge etc or as Pi, Aq, Cp etc. However, some irregularities can be found. The rasis whose dasas come after an irregular leap go by special names and special results are attributed to those dasas in classics. (1) A trinal leap (from Sg to Ar or vice versa; from Pi to Sc or vice versa) is called Simhaavalokana gati (lions leap). (1) Temporary reversal of the direction is called Markati gati (monkeys leap). When we go as Sc, Li, Vi, Cn, Le, Ge, Ta, Ar etc in savya nakshatras, we temporarily reverse the direction when we go from Cn to Le. So Le is a markati gati rasi. Similarly, when we go as Ar, Ta, Ge, Le, Cn, Vi, Li, Sc etc in apasavya nakshatras, we temporarily reverse the direction when we go from Le to Cn. So Cn is a markati gati rasi. (1) Leaving one rasi and jumping over it is called Mandooki gati (frogs leap). When we go as Sc, Li, Vi, Cn, Le, Ge, Ta, Ar etc in savya nakshatras, we have 2 jumps (i) from Vi to Cn and (ii) Le to Ge. So Cn and Ge are mandooki gati rasis. Similarly, when we go as Ar, Ta, Ge, Le, Cn, Vi, Li, Sc etc in apasavya nakshatras, we have 2 jumps (i) from Ge to Le and (ii) Cn to Vi. So Le and Vi are mandooki gati rasis. The results attributed to various leaps are given in Table 12.

In addition, Parasara listed the directions to prefer and the directions avoid, while travelling and relocating, during different leaps. (1) In the leap from Vi to Cn, east will give great results. One can take up an auspicious journey in the northern direction. (1) In the leap from Le to Ge, east should be avoided. A journey to the southwest will be fruitful. (1) In the leap from Cn to Le, a move in the southern direction results in losses. West is favorable. (1) In the leap from Pi to Sc and in the normal movement from Sg to Cp, there will be troubles in the northern direction.

(1) In the leap from Sg to Ar, journeys should be avoided, as they may result in sickness, imprisonment or death. (1) In the normal movement from Sg to Sc, journeys will bring comforts, wealth and sexual pleasures. In the leap from Le to Cn, western direction should be avoided. Conclusion Kalachakra dasa was called the most respectable dasa of all dasas by Parasara. There are many controversies regarding its computation. This book follows the approach that this author found the most acceptable based on his study of Brihat Parasara Hora Sastram and his practical researches. A significant percentage of this authors successful long-range life-phase predictions were made using Kalachakra dasaand that is his favorite dasa. When we learn a new dasa, the first question we should ask is when should it be applied and what results should be seen in it. It is illogical to use 10 different dasas interchangably. Mixing up various dasas without knowing the subtle differences between them results in vague explanations. An intelligent astrologer will realize that different dasas are good at showing different kinds of events. Even when different dasas show the same event, they show it from different angles and focus on different aspects of the same event. Without appreciating this, one cannot understand why maharshis described tens, if not hundreds, of dasa systems. Hence it is important to learn when a dasa can be applied and what kind of results it shows. Some authors suggested that Kalachakra dasa applies only when Moon is stronger in navamsa chart than in rasi chart. However, this author opines that Kalachakra dasa is

applicable to all people, as Parasara did not impose any conditions on its applicability and went to the extent of calling it the most respectable dasa. Vimsottari dasa is based on the nakshatra of Moon. Rasi division of the zodiac is ruled by Sun and it shows the physical level. Nakshatra division of the zodiac is ruled by Moon and it shows the mental level. Thus Vimsottari dasa throws light on the state of the natives mind as time progresses. It focusses on mind. Narayana dasa shows the progress of lagna in ones life and it shows the direction taken by ones life. The focus is no longer on mind, but it is on the real happenings. Of course, ones mental state directly depends on the direction taken by ones life and the real happenings in ones life. In that sense, Vimsottari dasa and Narayana dasa show the same events. But the focus is different. Kalachakra dasa depends on Moons navamsa. Navamsa shows ones adherence of dharma or duty and throws light on the inner self. So the focus in Kalachakra dasa is state of the inner self and the sense of connectedness in ones mind. It shows how connected one is with respect to the events in ones life. For example, a political leader maybe running D-10 Narayana dasa of a yogakaraka rasi and he may land political power. He may be running the Vimsottari dasa of Sun who may be exalted in D-10 and so he may be feeling powerful. However, if Kalachakra dasa of a weak and afflicted house in D-10 runs at the same time, his inner self may not feel connected with the events in his career and he may feel a void. On the other hand, if Kalachakra dasa rasi is strong and occupied by benefics in D-10, then one may be successfully involved in activities that keep his inner self engaged. Narayana dasa specializes in showing what happens in ones life; Vimsottari dasa specializes in showing how ones mind views what happens in ones life; and, Kalachakra dasa specializes in showing how one relates to what happens in ones life and how connected one feels. It shows the inner motivation behind what happens. These three are the most important of all general purpose phalita dasas. Different dasas do not provide different alternatives that can be used interchangeably to understand what happens in ones life, but they provide different angles or vantage points to view the same kaleidoscope that life is.
