DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: This project is to know the market potential of IFB washing machine. The survey is to find out what consumers and dealers think about the product. One important thing is to find out the viability of this product and focus would also be to find out purchasing power of people through this survey.

PROBLEM STATEMENTS: This Research mainly deals with knowing the purchase and

post purchase behavior of customers. This Research is also focus on changing preference of

Customers and what influence them to buy. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: To know the market potential of the IFB washing machine.

SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: To know what influence consumer to buy the product. To know the consumer view regarding service (after sales service). To know the consumer preference for the product.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY: Research methodology is a way to systematically solve the research problem. It may be understood as a science of studying how research is done scientifically. The methodology to be followed is exploratory research.

RESEARCH DESIGN: This requires proper planning; a research needs a plan before study to save time and resources. A research design indicates a plan of action to be carried out in connection with the proposed research work. It provide a guidelines for the research to enable him to keep track of his action and to know that he is moving in the right direction gives a specific presentation

of various steps in the process of research. Thus the research is formulated. SAMPLING TECHNIQUE: The sampling instrument used in the study is questionnaire containing questions relating to certain specific aspects, regarding which the researcher collects the data from customers and retailers. Samples were chosen by convenient sampling technique. SAMPLE SIZE: A sample size is of 30-40 Retailers and 100 customers. DATA COLLECTION METHODS: Data refers to information or facts. The task of data collection begins after research problem has been defined and research plan has been decided. The nature of the data is both Primary and Secondary data. Primary data Secondary data

STATISTICAL TOOLS TO BE USED: The role of statistics is to function as a tool in designing research, analyzing its data and drawing conclusions there from. The important statistical tools used in this analysis are Percentage Analysis and chisquare test Collected data are analyzed by using SPSS PACKAGE
