Course Syllabus

Course Title
Class Objectives E-mail: gogotim@ccms.nkfust.edu.tw 4 Seniors, Department of English 1) autobiography, 2)resume, 3) cover letter, 4) business letters, 5)memos, 6) reports, and 7) reference formats (APA ) In a systematic way, students are led to go through all the fundamental writing practices of business world. Various writings are provided, including writing business correspondences, memos, and reports, to potential employers at workplace. Students will write professional business documents. Students will also engage in the peer review of their classmates papers in order to be able to better understand the writing process. In addition, on-the-spot interviews and writing a report for this interview are both possible requirements for this unique business writing course. Students are trained to write in the business world where certain type of citation, choice of tones, and genres of writing are expected. It is expected that each student will produce a ready package of self-selling written document to be used in job searching upon graduating. I. Ashley, A. (2003).
