Flash Point (Method): NA Extinguishing Media: Use extinguishing media appropriate for surrounding fires. Noncombustible. Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards: Emits toxic fumes under fire conditions. Special Firefighting Procedures: Firefighters should wear proper protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus with full facepiece operated in positive pressure mode.
Effects of Overexposure: Dust may irritate eyes. Inhalation of dust may cause irritation to upper respiratory tract. Acute Effects: Harmful if swallowed, inhaled, or absorbed through skin. Causes eye and skin irritation. Material is irritating to mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract. Chronic Effects: Possible carcinogen. To the best of our knowledge, the chemical, physical, and toxicological properties have not been thoroughly investigated. EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES: EYES: Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention. SKIN: Immediately wash with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes. INGESTION: If swallowed and the person is conscious, immediately give large amounts of water. Get medical attention. INHALATION: If a person breathes in large amounts, move the exposed person to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing give artificial respiration. Get medical attention. Steps to Be Taken in Case Material Is Released or Spilled: Evacuate area. Wear self-contained breathing apparatus, rubber boots and heavy rubber gloves. Wear disposable coveralls and discard them after use. Sweep up, place in a bag and hold for waste disposal. Avoid raising dust. Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pickup is complete. Waste Disposal Method: Bury in a landfill sit approved for the disposal of chemical and hazardous wastes. Disposal must be made in accordance with Federal, State and Local environmental regulations.
