Anonymous February 10, 2012 at 10:19 am Why is the battery dead on my riding mower? I have a 1989 Honda riding lawn mower (Model number HT-R3811) The battery is not charging. If I charge it and start it, it will run for as long as the battery is charged. the engine is not charging the battery. I am not too familiar with small engines since there is no alternator. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks thanks, I just replaced the battery last summer.

Stephen_25 February 10, 2012 at 2:38 pm After running my 10HP motor, it starves itself for gas. Any remedies? I have a Honda 10 HP riding lawn mower engine. It starts off running fine but then after a couple of minutes it struggles to stay going, eventually turning off. I cant think of anything else to check. I know quite a bit about motors so dont be shy to use big names and stuff if your scared of confusing me.

check e-bay but im sure theyll be hard to find because you cant find that many companies that still make 38inchers. you might be able to put a craftsman or yard works deck on it. go to home depot or lowes even sears and check out what they offer first.

Linda K February 12, 2012 at 9:49 pm The key for my honda riding lawn mower broke off. How can I get it out? I tried a needle nose pliers but dont want to ruin anything. Should I take the ignition switch out and try that way?

Stephen_25 February 19, 2012 at 7:46 am I have a small go cart and Im wondering what engine to put into it.?

My friend has a go cart with everything but the motor in it. I want to put an engine in it for my son. The go cart is just an old honda 3810 riding lawn mower stripped down to the frame and the essentials. The lawn mower has some kind of transmission in it and it has a clutch and a break in the same pedal. I dont want an engine that will pass cars on the highway. Just something small that will go anywhere from 20 kph to 50kph. So if anyone could tell me how big and what kind and even what modifications I might need to do to the lawn tractor that would be great. Im NOT looking to buy a brand new engineJust looking to find a used one that I could salvage off of something else. Thank you for all feedback!

Most of the go karts I have seen use either Briggs & Stratton engines or Robin Subaru. Robin Subaru makes a small engine especially for Go Karts. You may be able to speak with a small engine repair shop close to you to find out which engine will work best for the machine your are trying to build. They may even have some used engines around.

Realist February 26, 2012 at 4:55 pm I used to use one of these machines when I worked for the late Lord Lichfield,(Patrick Lichfield). I cant remember the actual model number, but the one I used was

Ferrari red and had a cut of 36 inches. I used it for a number of years, without any problems, in fact it was a joy to use. We used to get a firm from Stafford out every Spring to service it. Highly recommended
