Anatomy/Physiology 4 (All)

This course provides a fundamental foundation for the management and operation of a successful clinic within the focus of a healthcare practitioner. The financial, legal, marketing and practical aspects of setting up and operating a clinic will be studied. (24 hrs - 1 credit) No pre-requisite Mondays 10:30am 12:30pm April 2 to June 18

Sports Massage & Complementary Methods (RMT)


Learn specific treatments for stages of injury for various physical activities. (24 hrs - 1 credit) Pre-requisite: Advanced Techniques 1-8 Mondays 10:30am 12:30pm April 2 to June 18

Chinese Herbal Formula Differentiation (TCM)


Learn to distinguish common Chinese Herbal formulas that appear to treat the same disease pattern, yet are actually subtly different. Identify the most appropriate formula. (24 hrs- 1credit) Pre-requisite: TCM Diagnosis & Assessment Mondays 6:00pm 8:00pm April 2 to June 18

Tui Na 1 (TCM/SPA)
Chinese massage is a great way to learn to treat people with health concerns. It is very effective with children. Learn the basic theory and techniques of this ancient art. Fifty percent of this course is hands-on. (24 hrs- 1credit) Pre-requisite: Meridian Theory or T.C.M. T.F. Mondays 8:00pm 10:00pm April 2 to June 18

Pathology 1 (All)
Begin the study of the structural effects of disease, on body systems & organs, at the tissue & cellular level. Mondays 8:00pm 10:00pm (24 hrs - 1 credit) Pre-requisite: Anatomy/Physiology 1 (or in progress) Mondays 8:00pm 10:00pm April 2 to June 18

An in-depth study of the upper extremity muscles. (24 hrs - 1 credit) Pre-requisite: Myology 2 Mondays & Thursdays 8:30am 10:30am May 14 to June 21

Client Assessment 4, 5 (RMT)


A continuation of the regional assessment of the human body. (48 hrs 2 credits) Pre-requisite: Client Assessment 3 Mondays & Thursdays 10:30am 12:30pm April 2 to June 21

Massage Techniques 1-4 (NHSc/RMT/SPA)


Learn the basics of massage, including draping and positioning, and develop a routine for a general full body massage treatment. (96 hrs 4 credits) No pre-requisite Mondays & Thursdays 1:15pm 5:15pm April 2 to June 21

The theory and practice of remedial exercise assessment, plan development, implementation and evaluation. Range of motion and stretching is also presented. (24 hrs - 1 credit) Pre-requisite: Advanced Techniques 1-4 & Myology 1 Tuesdays 8:30am -10:30am April 3 to June 19

Integrative Studies (All)


Interesting series of lectures by skilled practitioners in the healing arts & sciences. (24 hrs - 1 credit) No pre-requisite Tuesdays 10:30am - 12:30pm April 3 to June 19

Pathology 4 (RMT/TCM)
An in-depth study of muscle-related diseases. (24 hrs - 1 credit) Pre-requisite: Pathology 1 Tuesdays 10:30am 12:30pm April 3 to June 19

Classics (TCM)
This course explores the most known TCM Classic book: The Yellow Emperors Classic of Medicine by Maoshing Ni. (24 hrs- 1 credit) Pre-requisite: TCM Theory Foundations Tuesdays 10:30am 12:30pm April 3 to June 19

Pathology 1 (All)

Anatomy 6 (RMT/TCM)
A study of the major joints and ligaments of the human body. (24 hrs - 1 credit) Pre-requisite: Anatomy 5 Tuesdays 1:15pm 3:15pm April 3 to June 19

Reflexology 1 (NHSc/SPA)
Learn the principles, theory & practice of Reflexology. Learn zones of the foot & specific reflexes for the major organs & glands. Hands-on experience. This program is coordinated by the founder of the Reflexology Association of Canada. (24 hrs - 1 credit) No pre-requisite Tuesdays 6:00pm 9:00pm May 1st to June 19th

Meridian Theory (NHSc/TCM)


Meridian Theory explores energetic pathways and their functions. (24 hrs - 1 credit) No pre-requisite Tuesdays 6:00pm - 8:00pm April 3 to June 19

Oriental Acupressure 2 (NHSc/SPA)


Advanced techniques for a full system treatment. Study of traditional methods of analysis, including observation and assessment techniques. (24 hrs - 1 credit) Pre-requisite: Oriental Acupressure 1 Tuesdays 8:00pm - 10:00pm April 3 to June 19

Physiology 6 (RMT/TCM)
A deeper study of energy formation in the cell, the nervous system and metabolism. (24 hrs - 1 credit) Pre-requisite: Physiology 5 Wednesdays 8:30am 10:30am April 4 to June 20

Point Combinations 1 (TCM)


Learn how the individual acupuncture points can be combined to treat many disorders. (24 hrs 1 unit) Pre-requisite: Acupuncture Point Location 1, 2 & TCM Diagnosis Wednesdays 8:30am 10:30am April 4 to June 20

Learn to find and assess health-related research. (24 hrs - 1 credit) No pre-requisite Wednesdays 10:30am 12:30pm April 4 to June 20

Physiology 7 (TCM/RMT)
Students continue to study the finer aspects of the nervous system. This course also takes an in-depth look into the muscular system including a study of skeletal and smooth muscle, and the cardiovascular system. (24 hrs - 1 credit) Pre-requisite: Physiology 6 Wednesdays 10:30am 12:30pm April 4 to June 20

Client Assessment 1 (RMT)


An introduction to clinical assessment including case histories, client-interviews and the use of visual and physical examination techniques. (24 hrs - 1 credit) No pre-requisite Wednesdays 10:30am 12:30pm April 4 to June 20

Pediatrics (TCM)
Learn the TCM treatments used for various childhood disorders. (24 hrs 1 credit) Pre-requisite: TCM Diagnosis/Assessment Wednesdays 10:30am 12:30pm April 4 to June 20

Significant focus is placed on the understanding, writing and pronouncing of medical terms as they relate to Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology, with an emphasis on body systems. (24 hrs - 1 credit) No pre-requisite Wednesdays 1:15pm 3:15pm April 4 to June 20

Off-Sites (RMT)
Practice massage skills, acquired in-class, in a variety of public settings. (48 hrs 2 credits) Pre-requisite: Massage 4 & Anatomy/Physiology 4 Wednesdays 1:15pm 5:15pm April 4 to June 20

Energetics of Western Herbs (TCM/NHSc)
This course covers the Traditional Chinese Medicine properties of herbs commonly used in Western Herbalism. (24 hrs- 1 credit) Pre-requisite: Herbal Therapeutics 1 Wednesdays 6:00pm 9:00pm April 4 to May 30

Terminology 2 (RMT/SPA)
The use of roots, prefixes, suffixes, plurals and opposites. (24 hrs - 1 credit) No pre-requisite Thursdays 10:30am - 12:30pm April 5 to June 21

External Diseases (TCM)


A study of TCM patterns and treatments for sexually transmitted diseases, proctology disorders and external skin disorders such as herpes, alopecia, lyme disease and scleroderma. (24 hrs 1 credit) Pre-requisite: TCM Diagnosis/Assessment Thursdays 10:30am - 12:30pm April 5 to June 21

Hydrotherapy 2 (RMT/SPA)
Students evolve their skills and knowledge acquired in Hydrotherapy 1. (24 hrs 1 credit) Pre-requisite: Hydrotherapy 1 Thursdays 1:15pm 5:15pm April 5 to May 10

A study of the cardiovascular, respiratory systems and lymphatic systems. (24 hrs - 1 credit) Pre-requisite: Anatomy 6 Thursdays 3:15pm 5:15pm April 5 to June 21

Nutrition 2 (NHSc/TCM)
This dynamic ride of your life course guides you towards taking a positive approach to daily food requirements. Evolve your understanding of pH balance, food and non-fanatical healthy living. The teacher has been honored with several international awards and was nominated as the top health educator in Canada. (24 hrs 1 credit) No Pre-requisite Thursdays 6:00pm to 8:00pm April 5 to June 21

Nutrition 5 (NHSc/TCM)
This level of study provides clinical instruction on the use of instrumentation with reference to the Theory of Ionization. Clinical profiles and recommendations are presented and discussed applying the knowledge acquired in two previous levels. (24 hrs - 1 credit) Pre-requisite: Nutrition 4 Thursdays 6:00pm 8:00pm April 5 to June 21

Chair Massage (NHSc/RMT/SPA)
