In eight weeks, participants will learn the basics of professional multimedia and new media journalism, including how to produce articles, photos, audio and documentary videos relating to issues and daily life in Jerusalem. Participants will also learn how to promote stories and maintain a strong social media presence. Attendance is mandatory at all sessions. If you are unable to attend a session, please notify Victoria Fine as soon as possible. All assignments are due at the beginning of class. Completed projects must be accompanied by release forms for all photographed subjects, as well as any archival material provided by others for the purpose of the story. You are welcomed to use your own technology as much as possible. Please bring your laptop to class, if you have one available.
