Baby Jogger 2010 City Mini Double Stroller Review Being patient and methodical, my wife and I shopped far and wide for the optimal double stroller, and tested many. This City Mini stroller was the clear choice. We then used it at the best test site going, ten full days at Walt Disney World parks. Here are the pluses; The stroller folds remarkably easily, pull one openly available strap in the seats, and bingo, done, folded nearly flat. Further, you can very easily release and remove the wheels, and then the stroller folds virtually totally flat. This stroller is not heavy like most doubles, yet it is built quite solidly. It pushes and turns at a feathers touch. From a standing point, you can make a 180 degree turn smoothely, with no resistance. The wheels are big enough for a smoothe ride, but not so big that they get in the way, especially when folding the stroller. The seats recline very simply, and the versatile hood provides as much sun block as desired. It also can create a very secure protected space for kids to lounge in. And the seats are set, that it is difficult for the kids to truly bother each other. Get the safety bar accessory, kids love it, and it reduces the need to buckle them in every time you put them in the stroller. There's also a three cup holder accessory that's useful. There is only ONE flaw with this stroller, the storage under the seat is difficult to access. It was too small in the older units, but they recently fixed that. Yet, while it may be bigger, and is a reasonable amount of space, the frame structure of the stroller leaves only narrow openings to get stuff into the storage area. So, you cant store large bags down there, you have to use small bags, and or store stuff loose. We found one resolve, is to hang stuff off the handle bar with a huge quick link ("mommy clip"), even though the manufacturer says not to do this. Oh ya, if you actually want to jog with a stroller, then get the City Elite, which is significantly heavier, and doesn't fold so well, but the wheels are much bigger, allowing you to truly jog. So there you have it. All said and done, this stroller is THE number one best you can find. Expensive, but worth it.

Ive asked some mothers how they like theirs and they seem to be okay with it but not exactly thrilled with it either. Does anyone have a double stroller that they like and could recommend? I have been looking for months for a stroller to hold a newborn and a toddler that is sturdy and has room on the bottom for storage. February 6, 2012 at 1:39 pm (Edit) What Is The Best Rear Facing Double Stroller? I am wondering which is the best double stroller out there. First off I want to be able to see my children. After that anything goes. I currently have a Stokke Xplory for my daughter (8 months) and love how she is next to me and can interact with me when we are out. My husband and I went testing double strollers this past weekend and I found nothing I really liked. I first was thinking the Queen B Bumbleride with toddler seat but the steering was horrible Next I tried the Peg Perego Duette with steering wheel Wow what a bus! Next the Contour by Kolcraft seemed very heavy and still seemed pretty long. I saw on the internet the Stroll-air Spider Duo looked interesting but cant find it anywhere to test it. Does anybody have any of these strollers or have any other suggestions? Thanks Reply

(especially when we go to the park, zoo etc) You might want to think about one where the older child can face outward and the infant can face you. Reply

February 21, 2012 at 11:39 am (Edit) My kids are 3 years apart exactly. I wanted a double stroller that my toddler could get in and out of wiithout having to squish himslef to fit in little seats. This is what I found. It is called the Sit and Stand Stroller http://www.strollerdepot.com/moreinfo.php?SKU=1008 And I bought it from this website too (as it is not available in stores). I love it. It has an attachable bar to the front to accomodate ANY brand of infant carrier. The basket underneath has side elastics, so you can easily get to your things. I am only 54 and I can lift it in and out of my car on my own. My son loves that he has the option to sit when he is tired, or stand on the platform and ride. The only drawback.no parent tray. So no where to keep your keys, drink, or cell phone on hand. BUT.looking at this website further today, it looks like the manufacturer has MADE ONE !! Horay! Im going to order it too. February 18, 2012 at 9:40 am (Edit) Most definitely the Baby Jogger City Select! I have one myself and I love it for several reasons 1. Can be used as double, or single when one gets too big for it (and then back again if you have another! 2. the option of the bassinet casing for a seat, which later converts back, also love the carseat adapters very easy to use and remove. 3. Super easy to fold up, and fold FLAT. All in one simple motion 4. Lots of storage options. The storage area underneath expands, and the handlebars have lots of accessory options, including full size backpacks. And,

they dont tip even when you have a lot of weight on the handle bars. 5. Very maneuverable. I live in Boston with legendarily uneven sidewalks. I can get around just fine, and without too much bouncing. 6. Accessories: a self leveling drink holder (you have no idea how great that is on hilly roads). Storage cover- compact enough to use as carry-on on international flights. Belly bar- instead of food tray (also available) the belly bar gives something for kids to grab onto and allows them to lean out more. This was perfect for the zoo and watching the duckies go by. 7. Adorable! It does not look like any other stroller out there, yet has a nearly old world charm in the dark colors (I got black). I get questions all the time on it. 8. great if you baby wear- I wore my infant in a wrap while pushing my twins in the stroller. The handlebar was just the right height for me not to struggle. Downsides? Can be costly to get new accessories, not the best jogger but will do ok, not usually on sale. Reply

It gives you the option of him sitting of standing up right by you and the infant is in the front. It is amazing. February 28, 2012 at 10:36 am (Edit) I would have to say go Graco Duoglider if you are on a budget. They make a generally good all around stroller. Pros: takes carseats(Graco) holds 2 up to 40 pounds(no problem with the toddler) one hand standup fold seats lie flat big cargo basket stadium seating(rear seat slightly higher then the other) coffee holder fits through mall doors no problem. cons: inline design can be a big tough to turn tightly, but still turns pretty well. kind of plastic-ee mall/sidewalk not nature trails etc. A great stroller for the money not matter how you look at it. I like to take long walks (1-2 hours) so it has to be sturdy, dependable and comfortable. Not too worried about car travel as I will be carrying the infant in a baby bjorn on outings. The phil and teds look pretty neat but Im worried about sun protection. Please tell me your stroller success stories! Reply

February 25, 2012 at 6:12 am (Edit) i have twins and have gone through a few strollers so far. i really dont reccommend a tandem style unless you go with the colcraft contour. the city joggers are nice, but either way just check them out for all the features you want my new one is Grand Safari Double Jogger, i dont use it for jogging but youll find the joggers are much smoother of a ride. dont worry too much about the sun canopy when getting the stroller since you can buy one (kiddapotamus i beleive). just go on babiesrus.com and check them all out they have a great selection. If he cant stand to be tied down or seated perhaps a stroller that has a boogie board a step on place for an older child to stand on at times might be a good thing, many Peg Perego have this built in and for some you

can add one on. If hes not super active and will want to sit consider that its better for little babies to face the parent pushing the stroller, and youd want something that can be turned around later. The tandem ones are very hard to push often, and hard to turn, but they can fit in aisles well, the side by side are great when they are well made and turn easily but they are often very wide and are really only good for outside walks. So what you will want depends on what kind of activities you see yourself doing and where you will be using a stroller. Id just wait until your son is 2 years old and decide then. Reply

I was looking at the sit and stand strollers with the front seat, and the rear facing/stand up part for the older child in the back. My older son would be just over 2 to 2 1/2 when the babys born. Is this a good one to buy or should I get a regular double stroller? And which brand would be the best? Oh yeah my infant carrier is Evenflo, so I dont know if that would fit in another brand of stroller. Reply

March 4, 2012 at 4:03 am (Edit) i personally would just get a regular double stroller, allowing your child to stand while the stroller is in motion may result in injury. The double stroller we got, I put our newborn in the back- closest to the handles, where i can watch her(she sits incar seat and faces the rear still) and i put our 2 yr old in the front, where she can get in and out if need be, plus shed be able to see everything going on. good luck Reply

March 4, 2012 at 8:03 am (Edit) I really like my Baby Trend double tandem stroller. You can put the infant carrier in the front or back seat, and there is an extra strap to secure the seat. The trays and canopies are removeable, and the back part of the stroller converts to a sit and stand stroller. I got mine at Babies R Us for about $170. Reply

Its a little awkward because it feels so long but its nice to go shopping with or to crowded places because you fit through the isles better. Reply

March 6, 2012 at 3:08 am (Edit) http://valcobaby.com/ i have the trimode ex twin and its the GREATEST thign ever. iit IS pricey, but it can carry up to four kids because it has the possibility of a toddler seat that attaches and a stand on board on the back. theyre extra, but not too much. then it also has a bassinet type thing that you can use on the seat for a newborn so they lay flat vs being in a carseat. if you look on ebay, you can find them cheaper. i paid 400 for mine on ebay vs 700-800 on a website that sells them. March 6, 2012 at 3:21 pm (Edit) The best one is the Peg Perego Duette SW. It has a steering wheel type handle, which is awesome. The ones that are tandem strollers (front and back) are really hard to push and maneuver and they do it well with this wheel. Plus, Peg Perego is by far the best carseat on the market for infants. One thing you dont want to mess around with. However, if youre going to go with a less expensive seat, it will work with this stroller. The Kolcraft Contour Options stroller is really cheaply made and is not that great of a stroller. However, I do like it better than the Graco ones. I havent tried the Graco Quattro Tour double strollers, but the other arent good. If youre anal about safety like I am, go with Peg Perego on the stroller and carseats. Itll cost an arm and a leg, but itll be SO worth it! It also has the options like the contour strollerfacing each other or both forward, etc. Reply
