Most of meddle east library's don't have a systems librarian for some reasons for example lack of budget or lack of knowledge of the importance of systems librarian roll or both of them and some times lack of qualified staff . Recently library in meddle east start to know the importance of systems librarian in library team. The roll of systems librarian is different from library to anther. Also to deliver responsive services rapidly and effectively to meet the needs of library users and staff . This person must have a deep knowledge of library work flow and all it's services, standers, department ,collections type and audience types and interstates. Also he must have totalitarian knowledge of new technology in all fields and deep knowledge of new technologies in library fields . The person must have deep experience in (choosing, implementing, developing and maintaining ) the new technologies in library field . BUE Library systems librarian is Ashraf Brzy . he graduated from faculty of art library and information since department in 2001 with a strong talent and interest in develop and administrate of library automated systems he is working as systems librarian in the British University in Egypt (BUE) since February 2008 . he have deep experience in (choosing, implementing, developing and maintaining ) of very powerful open source systems, he works with PERL , PHP and SQL Also he is fond of Linux and he use it for all computing activity since 2008 . he won employee of the month twice this year . In BUE library we implemented wide range of automated services to help in providing better services and to enriches the BUEian's knowledge for example library systems controls all the activities regarding books search and finding all borrowing activities and it's polices ...etc . Also we have library portal to fine a lot of information about BUE library and all of E-resources ...etc . We implement a dedicate survey system to manage library surveys and BUEian's feedbacks .lateie we implemented a new project management systems to manage our daily tasks and all of our projects in library. Finlay systems librarian must have deep knowledge of librarian ship and IT skills to cane lead the library to the second generation of library services.
