1. Project Coordination Meeting

( March 8th, 2011)
At the present, several projects related with water resources are conducted in Jabodetabek area such as: The Project for Capacity Development of Jakarta Comprehensive Flood Management (JCFM) Jakarta Coastal Defense Strategy (JCDS) Institutional Strengthening for Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in the 6 Cis River Basin Territory Packet B Jakarta Urgent Flood Mitigation Project (JUFMP), Jakarta Emergency Dredging Initiative (JEDI) Flood Management in Selected Basin (FMSB) Master Plan & Feasibility Study on Karian Serpong Conveyance & Supply System

To enhance the efficiency in implementation of each project mentioned above, the Directorate of River and Coast held coordination meeting on March 8th, 2011 which chaired by Pitoyo Subandrio, Dipl. HE, Director of River and Coast. All the representatives from each project attended and explained the outline of their projects. They shared and exchanged information.

2. First Counterpart Meeting (March 16th,2011)

First Counterpart Meeting was held on March 16th, 2011 in Meeting Room of Directorate of River and Coast on 7th floor. The meeting was chaired by Director of River and Coast which represented by Head of Sub-dit. Region I, Ir. Yudi Pratondo and attended by 21 full time counterparts and 11 other counterparts coming from several related institutions such as: 1. Public Works Minister: DG. Water Resources (including BBWS Ciliwung-Cisadane) DG. Spatial Planning DG. Human Settlement 2. Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta: Public Works Agency of DKI Jakarta Spatial Planning Agency of DKI Jakarta 3. Provincial Government of West Java: Water Resources Management Agency of West Java Housing and Settlement Agency of West Java Province Road & Highway and Irrigation Agency of Bogor Regency Building Management and Settlement Agency of Bogor Regency Road & Highway and Irrigation Agency of Bogor City Road & Highway and Irrigation Agency of Depok City

The meeting was also attended by JICA Expert on Water Resources Policy, Hisaya SAWANO.
In the meeting, JICA expert team delivered some presentations with the topics as follow: Concept and Outline of the Project by Takaya TANAKA; Work Plan & Schedule and Basic Policy of CFM Plan of Ciliwung River by Tamotsu SHINGU; Related Organization to CFM and Capacity Assessment by Naoki UEHATA; Counterpart Training (Schedule, Grouping and Selection of Group Leader) by Sarwono Sukardi.

All the Counterparts listened to each presentation attentively

After presentation, all the counterparts were requested to fulfill questionnaire provided by the project.
