CLASS PROPHECY I was born a dreamer and I believe that dreams come true.

Last night, I was so tired as I came home from the Coronation Ball that I had to heat the hay after I got into my pajamas. You know sleep is a wonderful respite after a hectic evening activity. In that respite, with my eyes closed, it was very strange how I had a very clear vision of the future I had the most amazing dream in my young life. Can you believe it? I was living in a fabulous mansion in the beautiful cosmopolitan city of Baybay, where I seemed to enjoy the reputation of being the richest old maid in the country. I was in my living room relaxing in a Louis XIV lounging chair and as I looked at the calendar, it was year 2022, month of February. I was thinking of my annual world tour to escape from the summer heat in the Philippines. I had to get things ready. First thing was to call my private physicians, all of them experts in their own field. Dr. ________, a cardiologist, Dr. _________, a specialist in the control and treatment of hypertension, Dr. ______, an expert in physical therapy and Dr. ________, a general practitioner. All of them declared that I was physically fit for travel. So I announced that day were to travel with me, all expenses paid. Included in my travel entourage was ______, the Philippine top beautician, ______, a world renowned hair dresser. ______, a famous couturier who had just come home from Paris after a very successful fashion show there; _____, my dietician and Dr. _____, Ph.D. in Humanities as my social secretary. On the first week of March, I was ready to embark on my jet setting. I had my private plane checked and conditioned by aeronautic engineers, engineer________ together with my private pilot, captain ______ who incidentally requested and even pleaded that his cousin ________ be included in my entourage as my beauty consultant. We left the Baybay International Airport at exactly seven o clock in the evening on March 7, 2022. Our first stop was in Hawaii. There, we were entertained by a former classmate_______. A year ago, she won the Miss Universe title and was already married to a millionaire engaged in cosmetics business. A lavish party was tendered in my honor where I met some Filipino residents in Hawaii. Among them were _____ who owned a five-star hotel which was managed by _____ who got her masters degree in Hotel Management from the University of Honolulu; ______, the guest singer who just came home for this particular singing engagement. She was based in Tokyo as Japans number one entertainer. Dishing out the exquisite music for the party was an old Filipino Band with ________ at the piano;_____ on the saxophone_______ on the trumphet ________ on the trombone slide; _________ on the flute; ________ on the accordion;______ with maracas and ______ on the drums. At the head table with me were the hosts, my co-graduates in High School _____, also a rich old maid still lovely and charming after three facelifts; _____ the president of the Filipino community in Honolulu and _____ who was operating an exclusive club and casino frequented by exiled billionaires and their wives. We stayed for two days in Hawaii. Before we left, we attended a Holy Mass in Parish Chapel with Father______ officiating the mass. There was a choir composed of the Sisters of Mercy. It was amazing to discover that the more unsaintly girls of class 2012 had become nuns. In that choir was Sister_____, Sister _________, and Sister _____. I almost could not recognize them in their habit. They came to chat with me after the mass to share with me the most worldly chismis creeping in the vineyard of the Filipino Community in Hawaii. They were just as chismosa as ever. Our next trip was to the Big Apple. My companions were singing New York! New York! All the way! I checked in at the most expensive suite at Waldorf Astoria I was placed on record that I was just second Filipina to occupy that suite, the first one was Imelda. Early in the morning of the following day, I ordered my social secretary to negotiate that one of the department store along Fifth Avenue be closed for my exclusive shopping. My shopping spree was a disappointment. I first invaded the jewelry department to my frustration, I found the jewels displayed to be very inferior to my personal collection which were crafted and designed by a Filipino Gemologist and Jeweler ________ who had already eclipsed Velayos.

I then went to the Arts and Antique Department. There I was caught spell-bound when I saw on the display the works of two famous Filipino artists ________and ________ eloquently overshadowing the work of the world famous Picasso and Joya. At the Garments Section, I did not see any gown better than the ones costumed-made for me by my personal couturier. The antiques? Well, I could see that my collections bought from Puerto Antigua, an antique shop owned by ______ where even more historic and authentic. My shopping was just a waste of time. I couldnt find anything to my taste. I did not buy anything. So I declared that the store be opened to the public. I just gave the manager a handsome amount for the trouble. We went back to my suite at Waldorf. A moment later, I received a call from a cousin in California. She was inviting me to visit her place. I then rescheduled my trip to Europe and went to California instead. We were in San Francisco early in the morning just in time for cocktails arranged for me. It was funny how my cousin was introducing to me people whom I have known long ago:________ who was already an acclaimed ballerina with top billing. She was looking very chic and very charming as she was escorted by a Pinoy billionaire Atty. _______ who was married to a sexy colored lady. The ever-charming _______ was already a broadway star and hold your breathe five times divorced and of course _________ who monopolized the conversations. Still as talkative as ever inspite of a tongue surgery which cost her a fortune. And you know, she got married to a Filipino old-timer in the U.S. with four Ms Matandang Mayaman Madaling Mamatay. She wisphered to me in confidence that she was already expecting the last M to happen. I wanted to leave my heart in San Francisco to someone who could match my millions but I did not find that someone.
