Air Transport Training College, Singapore

NB: Please note that this course is not available through UCAS. It is a SAR-66 Cat B1.1-approved training programme.

The Air Transport Training College (ATTC) was established in 1999 as a professional development centre for the Singapore Institute of Aerospace Engineers (SIAE). Within the Singapore Airworthiness Requirement (SAR) framework (regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore), it is a SAR Part 147 Approved Maintenance Training Organisation (CAAS Approval No: MTO/002). This means that it is approved to offer training programmes that meet SAR 66 basic knowledge and initial skills requirements in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul. ATTC also:

has MCAR-147 from the Republic of Maldives and Approved Training Organisation status from the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority to provide Part 66 basic knowledge and aviation skills training, including the conduct of Part 66 basic knowledge examinations; is a Singapore Workforce Development Agency-approved training organisation, having been awarded ATO No.00161 in August 2007 it was upgraded in December 2008 and designated a Continuing Education and Training Centre for the aerospace industry;

is an ISO 9001:2008 quality certified company and the only SAR Part 147 Aviation Training Organisation registered with the Ministry of Education as a private school; and gained Frost & Sullivan's Asia Pacific Aerospace and Defense 2009 Aerospace Technical Training Institution of the Year Award. ATTC campuses: The College operates across two campuses. The main campus is in eastern Singapore at the MDIS Building, Changi Road. The Skills Centre is located in north-eastern Singapore at Hangar 151, Seletar Airport. It houses: hangar workshops offering skills-based training in electrical, electronics and mechanical disciplines within the aviation framework; a Cessna 172 Skyhawk; a fully-operational Learjet 25B to enhance the maintenance experience offered at the hangar; and a full-motion flight simulator certified by CASA (Australia) for pilot training. KLM UK Engine

ering

KLM UK Engineering Ltd, an aircraft maintenance organisation, is a large employer of aircraft engineers. Its Technical College has gained a worldwide reputation for its continuing high standards. The College's courses have full EASA 147 approval and full EASA 147 approval for EASA 66 Cat A and B1 basic training. It also holds ISO 9001 accreditation for its quality management system, adopted to deliver and design training courses. KLM UK Engineering offers unique training opportunities on 'live' commercial aircraft in our EASA 145 Maintenance Organisation. Liaison between instructors and highly skilled engineers working on the various types of aircraft contributes significantly to the success rate of students on our courses. Its training manuals, produced by professional and experienced staff, are regularly updated and are included in course costs. Examination results and progress reports can be sent to sponsors and certificates are issued to individuals on the successful completion of all courses. KLM UK Engineering Ltd's engineering maintenance/component overhaul workshops and offices occupy some 88,000 sq. ft of space at Norwich Airport. Among the approvals held are those from the Civil Aviation Authority for maintenance and overhaul of the B737, F100/70, BAe 146/RJ, Fokker 50 and ATR 72 aircraft. The Technical College: The Technical College is located at Norwich Airport, close to the city centre and beautiful countryside. It has well-equipped, permanent and purpose-built classrooms, together with student study areas, technical library and student refectory. All the instructors are very experienced and are approved by the Civil Aviation Authority under EASA 147. An independent quality assurance training standards surveyor ensures training and examination standards meet the Approved Authority requirements. Its facilities also include a purpose-built apprentice centre, housing its very own hand-skills workshop (mechanical and electrical). It has a dedicated practical training classroom, complete with a full-size aircraft fuselage. Practical training is also undertaken in KLM aircraft component overhaul facilities and base maintenance hangars.
