One of our most effective tools for helping Nigerian companies develop relationship with the U.S. exporters and investors is our Networking with the USA (NUSA) registration process. This program enables you to become an active working partner with our office, as well as provide you access to our trade and investment matching products and services. Important too, your registration with NUSA bestows upon you invaluable business credibility which has become a prerequisite to U.S. Exporters readiness for transactions involving Nigerian companies. This membership is valid for 18 months only, after which NUSA clients are required to revalidate or renew registration in order to keep enjoying benefits accrued to this membership. There are two options for NUSA registration, namely, basic and enhanced. The BASIC registration provides cursory but vital information about the companys existence and legitimacy and includes a non-refundable registration fee of USD 250 or Nigerian Naira 33,000. Additional requirements for basic registration include: 1) the company must be incorporated with CAC (except professional practicing firms, e.g. law practice, chartered accountants, etc.); 2) at least one year audited financial report for recently incorporated companies after 18 months (period of grace), and 2 years reports for companies incorporated over 3 years. The ENHANCED registration considers in addition to those of basic the critical elements of the companys financial status and principal owners in its detailed report with a non-refundable registration fee of USD 600 or Nigerian Naira 79,000. The minimum requirement for enhanced category is 3-most-recent years audited financials. Please note that we accept management report (in lieu of audited account ONLY for the most recent year), if the required document is unavailable. Regardless of your choice, you can complete the registration process online by following the instructions below. Please be sure that you do NOT skip any step in submitting your application, as failure to adhere to this directive may result in rejection of your application. And please remember to tick both initial registration and the category of registration of your choice (e.g. Basic or Enhanced). Otherwise, we will assume that you are registering under Basic category. First, you will have to make web payment using an ATM card from any of the 25 banks on Interswitch network, by clicking the following link BUYUSA.GOV Nigeria UBA1 Alternatively, you may visit any of the designated UBA branches to make cash payment and obtain a receipt which (receipt) number you will have to enter in the application field requiring evidence of payment.
