Percept Pictures bags the prestigious account of Fedex


Produces 2 TVCs for Scientist and Bandana the renowned brands of Fedex

Percept Pictures produced 2 TVCs for the brand Fed Ex - Scientist & Bandana. The TVCs will be on air soon. Directed by Raj Kaushal, both the TVCs were developed on a very large scale and are entirely different in terms of idea, process and execution. Percept/H was the agency on the project that provided the script for both the TVCs. Percept Pictures not only cast Shor Bazaar - the folk-rock band in the Bandana TVC but also gave them an exciting opportunity to compose a completely new track made exclusively for Fedex. The Bandana film shot over 2 days was set up like a rock show with a crowd of over 500 people and a Jimmy Jib. The ambience of a rock concert was recreated so perfectly that it left the crowd overwhelmed. The advertisement clearly depicted the message of overnight deliveries by Fedex across the key cities within India.16 people from across India- Bengal, Punjab, North east and the south were cast to showcase the reach of the brand. Percept Picture also cut a 3 minute music video which would soon go viral on Youtube. The music video stands alone as an extended version of the advertisement not only giving the audience a more detailed look into the story but also the entire music track. The Scientist TVC was a completely CG driven film developed by Prime Focus wherein 80% of the film was made on high end graphics. The TVC was inspired by Rajnikants famous film Robot. It was a 1-day chroma shoot wherein Rajnikants duplicate was cast, who brought the original superstars charisma on-screen. Commenting on the activity Priti Chawla, Chief Production Controller, Percept Pictures said, To be associated with a brand like Fed Ex is surely a big win for us. We created two TVCs that were challenging and creatively satisfying. We jammed with the creative team at Percept H to execute two daunting and distinctly different ideas. And the learning curve on this project was particularly significant. The Bandana TVC involved casting a live band, creating an exclusive track and pulling off a rock concert, apart from making a music video. And if thats not enough of a task, the Scientist TVC was a highly CG-driven film, one of the few ads today with such sophisticated graphics. Overall, it was a great experience and were looking forward to an exciting future with Fed Ex.
