VERSION 9.09 Supports AutoCAD 2012 and other verticals RebarCAD is now supported on AutoCAD 2012 and other verticals (AutoCAD Architecture 2012, AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012, AutoCAD Map 3D 2012, AutoCAD Mechanical 2012, AutoCAD MEP 2012 and AutoCAD Structural Detailing 2012).

Bar Leader snap option modified

Snap option while placing Bar Leaders now takes OSNAP settings and provides all those OSNAP settings when the mouse hovers over Bar graphics. Range annotation properties You can now control the Range text properties such as text style and height. For Text Style:
Configuration Centre->Global/General Configuration ->Range -> RangeTXTStyle

For Text Height:

Configuration Centre->Global/General Configuration-> Range -> RangeTXTHeight=~mm~2.5

Option to display only the latest revision or all revisions

RebarCAD now has the option to display only the current revision level or all revision levels in the drawing sheet. Show Current Revision Show All Revision

Dimensioned Shape Diagram in Bar Labels

A new label configuration option is included to display dimensioned shape diagram in Bar Labels. Dimensioned shape diagram increases drawing readability at site. It also displays considerable information in the limited drawing space. You can configure the dimensioned shape sketches through Configuration Centre>Global/General Configuration->Label as you would configure a normal block included in a bar label.

Keyword <shapecode>.dwg implies that RebarCAD will match the Shape Code name with that of the AutoCAD block placed in the folder configured in Configuration Centre->Global/General

This feature is currently available with RebarCAD standard Bar Labels and not with AutoCAD dimensioned leaders. Blocks in Bar Labels

This feature to attach AutoCAD blocks to Bar Label is enhanced to configure block position in the Bar Label as well as include AutoCAD blocks with different Bar properties. For example, in addition to Bar Mark, you can now include Bar Size inside an AutoCAD block in Bar Label. RebarCAD will identify different bar properties by the Block Attribute Tags.

RebarCAD install by default, standard circular and hexagonal Label Blocks for Bar Marks named BarmarkCir.DWG and BarmarkHex.DWG respectively. List of new configuration settings:
Configuration Centre->Global/General Configuration->Label-> LabelBlockPath

You can specify the folder location where RebarCAD should look for the Label Blocks. By default this is empty implying that RebarCAD will look for the blocks in default installation folders.
Configuration Centre->Global/General Configuration->Label-> LabelBlockScaleFactor

You can control the Label Block size by specifying a scale factor here.
Configuration Centre->Global/General Configuration-> Label->PlaceLableBlockManually

The configuration option specifies whether the Label Block should be placed automatically along with the Bar Label or prompt to pick a point when placing the Bar Label.

There are two additional configurations, LabelBlockXoffset & LabelBlockYOffset, to control the position of the Label Block when automatic placement of Label Block is in use. Note: This feature is not supported for AutoCAD Dimensioned Leaders Configuration to control circle size in Bar Label

You can control the size of the circle in the Bar Label when created with $CIRCS and $CIRCE keywords in Bar Label configuration using the new configuration option

Bar Label Notes in Bar Bending Schedule You can now display the Bar Label Notes in Schedule on Drawing and Printed Reports. Additional fields are provided for customisation; alternatively you can call CADS Support for any customisation request.

Special Bar enhancements Automatic Bar Sketch RebarCAD now automatically generates necessary Bar Sketch drawing files when a special shape is created. The Bar Sketch drawing file is used for displaying the shape diagram in Schedule on Drawing and Printed Reports.

Automatic Special Bar Shape name Configuration option has been introduced to automatically name the Special Bar Shape. You may specify the prefix to be used when defining a new Special Bar Shape. This option can be enabled from:
Configuration Centre->Global/General Configuration -> SpecialBars-> AutoNameSpecialShape=Yes

Special Bar Shape prefix can be defined in:

Configuration Centre->Global/General Configuration-> SpecialBars-> AutoSpecialShapeNamePrefix

Automatic leg dimensions

New configuration option has been provided to automatically label the leg dimensions when converting AutoCAD Pline to Special Bars. This feature is introduced such that, in conjunction with an automatic bar shape name, the AutoCAD polylines could be directly converted into RebarCAD Bars & Ranges without going through the new Special Bar Shape definition process. The AutoCAD Polyline dimensions are automatically converted to Bar leg dimensions. This option can be enabled from Configuration Centre->Global/General Configuration -> SpecialBars->
AutoNameBarLegDimsForPline=Yes

Multiline Bar Labels

You can now configure multiline Bar Labels depending on your requirement. RebarCAD has supported multiline extra notes for a long time; this facility is now extended to include all Bar Label properties. You can configure all key words available in the label format configuration such as $PREFX, $BMARK, $MULTI, $NOBAR,$BMARK, @~$CENTR etc Mutliline labels can be configured using the following configuration options:

Drawing Compatibility RebarCAD v9.09 drawings can be opened in RebarCAD v9.08. You can save RebarCAD v9.09 drawing in RebarCAD v9.04 v9.07 format using a new option:
Utilities->Save As v9.07 Drawing..
