High quality white cement: For general usage and constructions with aesthetic purposes, minimum whiteness rate is 85 %. White cement with additive: For general usage and constructions with aesthetic purposes, minimum whiteness rate is 80 %. For general usage, with low additive In areas, where blended cements are used in general and a higher level of resistance is required, the production of pipe culverts, special project concretes, and production of construction chemicals. Coast and port constructions, offshore structures, waste water treatment facilities, foundation piles, water flumes, dams, concrete or reinforced - concrete underground water pipes, industrial floors exposed to sulfate, treatment plants, tunnel coatings, general purpose constructions, mass concretes, for which a low hydration heat is required. Slag Cement: Developed against chemical attacks, with low hydration temperature, durable, can be used on all surfaces that contact with acids, salts and water With high quantity of puzolan added and have relatively slower resistance development as compared with other types With blast furnace slag and puzolan additive Various cement types designed according to the needs of clients: Cement, petroleum cement etc. used in the underwater tube tunnel of the Marmaray project

SPECIAL CEMENT TYPES CEM I WHITE:

The white cement that is obtained by grinding gypsum with white clinker, which is attained by mixing limestone with clay of special quality (pyrophyllite, kaolin), is a hydraulic binding that is produced for decorative purposes. It is a type of cement that is worldwide used in bonding elements like tiles and ceramics in assertive architectural constructions. In 1998, as a result of the studies of the factory personnel Adana Cement started to produce white clinker and cement. With the investment decision taken in 2006, rotating kiln number 3 was converted to producing white clinker and boosting the capacity to 300,000 tons/year and the scale of whiteness, an important criterion for the product, was raised to 85 % after 16.5 million Euros were spent. With the initiation of production of the new plant in the first quarter of 2009, Adana Cement carries out works to become an outstanding Company of the world in white cement production. CEM II WHITE: This is an additive type of white cement with over 80% whiteness and obtained by adding to white clinker during the grinding phase of limestone in various percentages. CEM III SLAG CEMENT: The blast furnace slag that is produced in the metallurgical facilities as waste material can be used as an additive in cement production due to its hydraulic binding feature. The Iskenderun Cement Grinding Facility that was founded in 1977 to evaluate the blast furnace slag produced by Iskenderun Iron and Steel Factory in cement production was purchased in 2007 by Adana Cement that led to strength in slag cement market. Slag cement, due to its high resistance against chemical attacks and its low heat of hydration, known as more durable than CEM I Portland cement can be used in many projects like dams, ports, refineries, irrigation canals, bridges etc. and gradually more preferred for economic reasons. Under contemporary conditions, this type of cement that requires lesser clinker usage is the one with least damage to the environment. With the construction of the Iskenderun II facility, within the boundaries of Isdemir Site, the slag cement production capacity of Adana Cement has been increased to 2 million tons/year. GRANULATED SLAG: Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GBFS) is one of the waste material groups obtained from various metallurgical facilities. In raw iron production the blast furnace slag, as it is lighter, stays on raw iron and is composed at 1,400-1,600 degrees after the iron ore gangue, coke and limestone are burnt. Slag, that is hard to grind, is used as an additive for ready mixed concrete and cement after being processed in the two facilities of Adana Cement in Iskenderun and the facility of Bolu Cement in Eregli.
