1. Benedictine Value Obedience and Loyalty

BENE2 - BENEDICTINE SPIRITUALITY

Fully Human Obedience is a sign of trust and respect. I have to obey my parents to show my love for them. Wholly Christian As an atheist, I recognize the value of reason in improving the lives of people. I will use reason as my ultimate basis of truth and therefore trust, not dogmas and authority as blind devotion to what is inhumanly unjust. As an atheist, I realize that I am born for myself. Because I understand this, I also understand that other peoples lives are theirs by right. I will stay humble as we are all born to be free and equal and no preferential differences. As an atheist, I renounce those that are evil and detrimental for society on a broader level. Using reason as my basis for truths, I shall use it to support just laws for everyone and not specific to one religion only. As an atheist, I am open to all ideas. I accept good teachings from other religions and incorporate that into my own. I behave the way I do as how modern society would judge me. Sure, living simply is ideal but it is a matter of choice. I respect people for being extravagant since their life is theirs. I have no right to dictate what is right or wrong for them. As an atheist, I do good things to others because it is the right thing to do and not because of fear of divine punishment if I ignore those who are in need. I believe that all of us live for ourselves. We do the things we do because we either need to or we want to. I live for myself. My acts must come from me willingly, and not because of pressure from others. If it is the case, then it is slavery and treason to the freedom of man. As an atheist, I need silence to commune with my inner self. Silence is needed for the mind to see and feel the truth without bias of religion or authority. I am a free person, thus I are responsible for everything I do. Having no God gives you me no excuse to do evil things. I still have to put ethics and morality in mind. I can do what I want but I bear in mind the consequences of my actions. As an atheist, I see the universe as a part of a bigger me. I will not do anything that would harm myself.

Truly Filipino Loyalty in ones country is what will make that country stand. I will stay loyal to Filipino products and buy less imported products. I will also follow the rules and laws of the country to show my undying obedience and dedication to the country. I should stay humble amidst the recognition that Filipinos get abroad. As a Filipino, my humility is what has gotten me this far and it will take me further towards success. I will try to patronize more Pinoy products and renounce or lessen consumption of imported goods.
