Shamrock Though just a legend, St. Patrick was said to have used the shamrock to teach people about the Godhead. Holding up a shamrock, he challenged them, Is this one leaf, or three? Inevitably, people replied that it was both, prompting St. Patrick to draw the analogy that so, too, is God: one God in three Persons the Holy Trinity.

Thank you for believing that it is more blessed to give than to receive...we met the goal of $20,000 for the Lottie Moon Offering! 1 1 I wonder how many of us really believe that it is more blessed to give than to recieve? A [person] who accepts that statement of our Lord Jesus Christ as a fact, and not as impractical idealism, will make giving a principle of

Dont Miss Your Chance to Bless and Be Blessed...The Needs are Many [their] life. [They] will lay aside sacredly not less than one-tenth of [their] income or earnings as the Lords money, which [they] would no more dare to touch for personal use than [they] would steal. How many there are among [us].who imagine that because Jesus paid it all, they need pay nothing, forgetting that the prime object of their salvation was that they should follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ in bringing back a lost world to God. Food For Friends T.C. Miller and WLBC are partnering together to start a Food for Friends program because, in our current economy, it is becoming increasingly difficult for families to make ends meet. Our church will help by providing 10 families (not just youngsters), per week, with nutritious foods/snacks to eat over the weekend. The food will be put in backpacks for the kids. We are asking for WLBC members to help by supplying the food for the backpacks. Please bring items to church and leave in the box marked TC Miller Food for Friends. You can contact Robin Hall, during the day, with any questions: 384-8949. Food List Green Beans Raisins Jelly Soups Peanut Butter Granola Bars Tuna Salad Kits Macaroni/Cheese Original Baked Beans Cereal (hot & cold) Mixed Fruit Cups Collecting Treasures... for our 2nd Annual Yard Sale (in April). Deacon of the Week: Danny Jennings 434.525.5964

Many times we are asked, Who is my deacon? To help you, we will list the Deacon of the Week and his list of families in the WLBC Bulletin ENewsletter. There will be a complete list posted on the bulletin board near the church office. This complete list is alphabetical by your last name. We hope this will help you know who your deacon is for the year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the church office.

Just before the Last Supper (John 13), Jesus took off his outer robe, poured water into a basin and began washing his disciples feet. One disciple, however, protested having the Lord wash his feet. Jesus told the reluctant man that unless he allowed Jesus to wash his feet, he really had no share in Christs leadership. The disciple then relented. He said Jesus could wash not only his feet but his hands and head, as well. Choose the name of this disciple from the list below (see John 13:1-9): A. Peter B. John C. Andrew D. Judas

Sink or Swim When a boat started sinking, the skipper shouted, Does anybody know how to pray? One man confidently answered, Yes, I do. The captain nodded. Thats good then, he said. You go ahead and pray. The rest of us will put on life jackets. Were one short.
