PRAYERS FOR THE DECEASED: We pray for our loved ones who have died recently especially Lawrence Adamchick.
PRAYERS FOR THE SICK AND SHUT-IN: Let us raise up in prayer those who seek Gods healing love, those at the hospital, hospice and at home especially Ed Boose and Joan Prince. May your struggle be consoled by Christs love.
One of the efforts that will benefit from our 2012 Diocesan Lenten Missionary and Development Collection is the Catholic Near East Welfare Association. For over 75 years, this papal agency for humanitarian and pastoral work has been a lifeline for those in need throughout the Middle East, Northeast Africa, India and Eastern Europe. CNEWA supports the pastoral mission of the Eastern Catholic Churches, provides humanitarian assistance to those in need without regard to nationality or creed, promotes Christian unity and interreligious understanding, and seeks to educate people in the West about the history, culture, and churches of the East. The work of CNEWA is based upon time, place and urgency of need. The work carried out involves a variety of needs, including clean-water programs, employment training, care of orphans, providing health care, educational scholarships and the support of training of priests. For more info visit www.cnewa.ca.
