Welcome to Worship
elcome to New Hope Church, a place for new beginnings! If you are visiting, you will discover a loving, spirit-filled church family. Here is some helpful information as you join us in worship today: All who worship here are equals in the sight of God, regardless of race, age, gender, physical disability or religious affiliation. Communion, when celebrated, is open to all who profess Christ as Lord and Savior, whether affiliated with this church or not. Children may partake of Communion as well, if parents approve. A nursery is available during the service; please see a greeter for directions. (This is for infants and children up to 3 years of age.) Handicap-accessible restrooms are located off the narthex (foyer) and adjacent to the entrance lobby in the Fellowship Hall/Gym. Please remember to sign the attendance folder at your pew so we will have a record of your visit with us today. Thank you for remembering to silence your cell phone during the service. No food or beverages in the sanctuary, please. If you arrived as a visitor we hope that you leave as a friend and worship with us often! New Hope Church exists to: Glorify God in worship and rejoice in our life together; Share the Good News of the Gospel in word and deed; Reach as many as we can with the saving love of Jesus; Help each person grow toward Christian maturity; And find their place of service in the church and in the world.

Ministries/Activities Within Our Church

News from the 200 Anniversary Committee the committee adopted two new projects for our Bicentennial Celebration. First we want to bury a time capsule. We need your ideas on what to put in it. Second, the committee has taken on the task of redecorating our Narthex and adding a permanent Church history exhibit. If you would like to be a part of the fun we are having on this committee on Wednesday nights, stop by at 6:00 and join us! Clean-Up Day Rick White is planning a Clean Up Day here at the church on Saturday, March 24 at 9:00. A sign-up sheet will be passed around for volunteers. March 31 is the alternate rain-out date. th 200 Anniversary Slogan Contest The Small Group planning the Bicentennial Celebration wants your help in coming up with a catchy slogan for our anniversary. An example would be Remembering the Past, Looking to the Future. But thats kind of boring and you can do better than that! You may make submissions to Robbie or any member of the Anniversary Group, Pastor Vernon or Pastor Brad. The planning
th

group will choose a winner, who will get a $50 gift card! Church Van Ministry The Session has committed the church to purchase a used van, less than $18,000. On faith, the church will borrow the money to start, and a Van Fund has been established that you can donate to as the Lord leads. The van will have many uses including building the community of believers around our church. Ushers needed Eld. Bill Brown is the head of New Hopes Usher Ministry and needs a few more volunteers to help him out. This is a very important job because the ushers are the face of New Hope for visitors on Sunday mornings. Bill will give you thorough instructions and training for this position which would only require one Sunday a month. Food Pantry Dont forget about the Food pantry we maintain here at New Hope. Help yourself to any items you think someone may need. Childrens Worship! This program is currently led by Pastor Brad and takes place every Sunday during the 10am worship time. We call this class "New Hope Kidz! Youth Worship on Wednesday Nights @ 6:00 at New Hope - teens (grades 7 12) experience a contemporary and motivated style of worship. We have a service with prayer, singing praises to God and a youth-focused sermon that teach the truths from Gods Word in a way teens relate to and understand. Pastor Brad leads this service in the gym and opens the doors for teens to start coming at 5pm to hang out, play games, and talk. A light meal is shared before the service starts. Pastor Brad says, We love hanging out together and worshiping an awesome God! Stephen Ministry is a program that selects and trains laypeople for Christian caregiving. Stephen Ministers in our church are certified and trained to help people go through the many transitions and challenges in life. Our Stephen Ministers serve anyone in need, both within and outside the church. Call the church office if you are interested in receiving care through the Stephen Ministry program. Stephen Ministers are the CaregiversGod is the Curegiver! New Hope Choir Led by Ben, the New Hope choir is more than just a choir. It is a small group that meets on Sunday evenings to, yes, practice some songs, but also to fellowship, express concerns, reflect on a devotional together and pray for one another. Those in the choir are blessed to be in it together. Join the choir and find out why! They meet every Sunday evening at 6:00.
