Note that spreadsheets require attention to picky details, if you stick with it you'll have a really good understanding of MS Excel when you have completed all of these exercises. Remember, you don't need to print anything, but make sure it looks right in the print preview before you submit it. Make sure you have completed Lab 4 and have submitted the required files.
Make sure you read Chapters 3 & 4 in Excel before coming to Lab.

Hands-On Exercise 3 (pages 115-124) (you retrieve filename Extended Grade Book, and then save it as Finished Expanded Grade Book) Practice Exercises at End of Chapter 3, page 133, Problem #7. You create a spreadsheet (it does not exist) that is named Mortgage Calculator. This is similar to the Multiplication Table problem in that you need to create a single formula, using mixed cell references, and place it in cell B11. You should then be able to copy this formula to the rest of the table, without making any changes to it yourself. Note: You should also use a formula to calculate the row of principal values, and the column of interest rates by referring to the constant values provided in cells B4 to B8. Submit the following files: Analysis of a Car Loan Variable Rate Mortgage Finished Expanded Gradebook Mortgage Calculator. Chapter 4 Microsoft Excel 2000 section of book (Graphs and Charts) Hand-On Exercise 1 pages 149 157 you open a file named Software Sales and then save it as a file named Finished Software Sales, which is what you submit. When you save a chart in a spreadsheet, you can select how to save it right before you click on Finish. (See Step 3.) Be very careful in this exercise that when it says save chart in separate sheet that you select that option or you won't have things set up correctly for exercise 2! Hands-On Exercise 2 pages 162 168 you continue to work in the same file as in Hands-On Exercise 1 Finished Software Sales. You only submit it once. Hands-On Exercise 3 pages 170 178 you need to use the Word Document named Software Memo, and save it as Finished Software Memo. You also need to use the Finished Software Sales spreadsheet created and modified in Hands-On Exercises 1 & 2. Submit both Finished Software Sales spreadsheet, and Finished Software Memo document.
