For this project you will need to:


Complete a Gemstone Information Worksheet (Advertisement) or a Gemstone Pokemon Worksheet (Pokemon Card).

Research your Birthstone. Go to the library or use Internet sites. Worksheets must be neat, written in pencil, and complete. You also need to provide a list of your sources (where you found your information) on the information sheet. Try to use more than one source. 2) Create an advertisement for your Birthstone or design a Birthstone Pokemon Card. The Advertisement must include the minerals name, chemical formula, a slogan that describes one or more of its important uses and other information from your worksheet. You must also include pictures or design a cartoon character based on your birthstone that relates to your slogan. Advertisements must be neat and colourful. They may be done by hand or computer printed. The Birthstone Pokemon Card must include the minerals name, hardness, weakness, colour, location where it is found, elemental structure, and one or more of its important uses. You must also create a Pokemon character based on your birthstone. Your card must be neat and colourful and completed on an index card.
