THE CREATOR
Surha Ikhlas In the name of God, most gracious, most merciful say: He is Allah, the one & only! Allah, the eternal, absoulte; He begetten not nor is he begotten. And there is none like unto him- Translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. (Quran: Sura Ikhlas: Chapter 112).

ALLAHS MIRACLES
Mothers Womb Narrated by 'Abdullah bin Mus'ud: Allah's Apostle, the true and truly inspired said, "(The matter of the Creation of) a human being is put together in the womb of the Mother in forty days, and then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his (i.e. the new creature's) deeds, his livelihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be blessed or wretched (in religion). Then the soul is breathed into him. So, a man amongst you may do (good deeds till there is only a cubit between him and Paradise and then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire. And similarly a man amongst you may do (evil) deeds till there is only a cubit between him and the (Hell) Fire, and then what has been written for him decides his behavior, and he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise." [Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54, Number 430]

He makes you, in the wombs of your mothers, in stages, one after another, in three veils of darkness. such is Allah, your Lord and Cherisher: to Him belongs (all) dominion.(Quran 39:6)

HUMANITY
Visiting Sick The Messenger of Allaah [sallallahu 'alayhi wa salam] said: There is no Muslim who visits a (sick) Muslim early in the morning but seventy thousand angels send blessings upon him until evening comes, and if he visits him in the evening, seventy thousand angels send blessings upon him until morning comes, and he will have a garden in Paradise. *AlTirmidhi (969)]

Poor and Needy Try to save the food for the needy and do zakaat as much as possible... In Surat Al-M`n (The Small Kindesses) (107:1 - 3) Allah(SWT) says: "Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense? For that is the one who drives away the

orphan And does not encourage the feeding of the poor." About the Miskeen The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: The Miskeen (poor person) is not the one for whom a date-fruit or two, or a morsel or two (of food) is sufficient, but the Miskeen is he who does not (beg or) ask the people (for anything) or show his poverty at all. Recite if you wish, (Allahs statement), They do not beg of people at all (Quran 2:273). *Sahih Bukhari+

WORDS OF WISDOM
Brotherhood It was narrated from Abu Musa (radi Allahu anhu) that Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "If one of you passes through our Masjid or our marketplace, with an arrow, let him hold it in his hand by its point, lest he harm one of the Muslims with it in some way." [#6665: The Book of Al-Birr: Sahih Muslim] Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) narrated that Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, "A Muslim is unlawful to another Muslim; his blood, his wealth and his honour." [#6541: The Book of Al-Birr: Sahih Muslim] 6

Each Muslim life is so sacred to Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) that He would rather have the Kaaba and its surroundings destroyed than the life of a single Muslim. What we see these days though is Muslim armies killing Muslims with bombs, missiles, guns and embargoes. All they feel the need to do is to put a label on the Muslim to make his or her blood lawful in their eyes. It is not the first time in history that Muslims are serving in the armies of the Kuffar, but it is strange indeed to have armies of "independent" Muslim countries bombing its own civilians. A Muslim who meets with others and shares their burdens is better than one who lives a life of seclusion and contemplation. - Reported by Muslim, Hadeeth

"A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim. He does not oppress him, nor does he leave him at the mercy of others." [Sahih Muslim].

Invitations Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "I shall accept the invitation even if I were invited to a meal of a sheep's trotter, and I shall accept the gift even if it were an arm or a trotter of a sheep." Bukhari Volume 3, Book 47, Number 742 The Biggest Fault Within " Finding fault in others is one's greatest fault " [Ali Ibn Abi Talib (RA)]

Remember to fast on Thursday The Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h.) said: Deeds are shown (to Allah) on Mondays and Thursdays, and I like my deeds to be shown when I am fasting. Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 747

Parents My Lord..! Bestow on them (my parent) Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was young. (Quran Al Isra verse 24) Love your parents. We are so busy growing up, we often forget they are also growing old, May Allah protect our parents and reward them jannah...! Aameen. A man came and asked to Prophet Mohammad PBUH for permission to participate in Jihaad. The prophet PBUH asked him : "Are your parents alive?" The man said : "Yes." So Prophet Mohammad PBUH told him : "So perform Jihaad by taking care of them." Al-Bukhaari and Muslim.

Sacrifice Umar Ibn Khattab (R.A.) said; Allah (swt)s Messenger Sallahllaah Alaihi Wasallam, smiled while he was lying on a at Made of palm tree leafs with ... nothing between him and the mat. Underneath his head there was a leather pillow stuffed with palm fibres, & leafs of a saut tree were piled at his feet, & above his head hung a few water skins. On seeing the marks of the mat imprinted on his side, I wept. He (Sallahllaah Alaihi Wasallam,) said, Why are you weeping? I replied, O Allahs Apostle! Caesar & Khosrau are leading the life (i.e. Luxurious life) while you, Allahs Apostle though you are, is living in destitute. The Prophet then replied. Wont you be satisfied that they enjoy this world and we the Hereafter? Sahih Bukhari Book 60, Hadith 435. A man came to the prophet and said: O Messenger of Allah, direct me to an act which, if I do it, *will cause+ Allah to love me and people to love me. He said: Renounce the world and Allah will love you, and renounce what people possess and people will love you. - Reported by Ibn Majah, Hadith Tests The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The greatness of the reward is tied to the greatness of the trial. When Allah loves a people, He puts them to the trial. Whoever is acceptant of it will have Allahs acceptance and whoever is displeased and unacceptant with it will gain Allahs displeasure. - Reported by At-Tirmidhi, Hadeeth. If Allah brings some harm to you, there is none to remove it except He. And if He intends to bring some good to you, there is none to turn His grace back. He brings it to whomever He wills from among His servants. He is the Most-Forgiving, the Very Merciful. - The Holy Quran [10:107 Salaam Prophet Muhammad (saw) said You shall not enter Paradise until you believe; and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I not guide you to a thing? Which when done will make you love one another; Spread the greeting of Salam amongst you. - Reported by Muslim, Hadith

Namaaz Sunan Abu Dawood (Kitab Al-Salat) Hadith No. 0492 Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: The whole earth is a place of prayer except public baths and graveyards. Benefits of Namaaz The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, Convey glad tidings to those who walk to the mosque in the darkness. For they will be given full light on the Day of Resurrection. - Reported by At-Tirmidhi & Abu Dawood, Hadeeth Hell Fire Allahs Apostle said The Hell Fire complained to its Lord saying, Oh Allah! My different parts eat up each other. So, He allowed it to take two breaths, one in the winter and the other in summer, and this is the reason for the severe heat and the bitter cold you find (in weather). - Reported by Bukhari, Hadeeth Avoiding Argument Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: Whoever does not argue when he is in the wrong will have a home built for him on the edge of Paradise. Whoever avoids it when he in the right will have a home built for him in the middle of Paradise. And whoever improves his own character, a home will be built for him in the highest part of Paradise. *Tirmidhi+ Socializing The Prophet (sallallahu `alahi wa sallam) said, The most complete in faith are those best in their character, those who are easy to socialise with, and those who get along with others and others get along with them. There is no good in the one who cannot get along with others and others cannot get along with him. [Al-Tirmidhi] Disbelieving Family Members "O you, who have believed, do not take your fathers or your brothers as allies if they have preferred disbelief over belief. And whoever does so among you - then it is those who are the wrongdoers." Surat At-Tawbah v.23. Dua RABBAN AFRIGH `ALAYN SABRAWWA TA-WAFFAN MUSLIMN! "Our Lord! pour out on us patience, and cause us to die as Muslims." [Al-Araf:126 Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers *al-Araaf 7:23+

Darood Narrated Abu Hurairah Radiallaho anho : The Prophet peace be upon him said: If anyone invokes blessings (Durud) on me once, Allah will bless him ten times . Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 8, Number 1525:

MEN
Lower Gaze Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do. (Surah Noor, V30) Ideal Husbands Men shall take full care of women with the bounties which Allah has bestowed more abundantly on the former than on the latter, and with what they may spend out of their possessions....". *Quran 4:34+ (His first duty is maintenance and protection, and overall responsibility for the welfare of his wife, which is prescribed in the Quran) "They (wives) are garments for you, while you are garments for them." *Quran 2:187+

Divorce The Husband is however urged in the Quran to avoid divorce and try to preserve marriage even if it is not ideal. This is to be done in the first instance by exercising patience with his wifes faults. The Quran says; "Live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If you take a dislike to them, it may be that you dislike a thing while Allah brings about through it a great deal of good." *Quran 4:19+ Polygamy If for some reason, the husband cannot manage with his first wife but does not want to divorce her, he is not prohibited from contracting another marriage, provided it is done in a legal and honorable way.The permission to marry more then one wife at a time is however conditional: ".......if you fear you cannot do justice between them, then marry only one." *Quran 4:3+ If having married more then one, however, a husband finds his heart inclining to one at the expense of the other, he is warned that this inclination should not reach the stage of neglect of the needs of the other wife:"And you will not be able to treat your wives with equal justice however much you desire it. But do not incline towards one to the exclusion of the other, leaving her as it were in suspense." *Quran 4:29+ Abu Hurairah (raa) reported the Prophet (saws) as saying:"Whoever has two wives and does not treat them equally, shall come on the day of resurrection with half his body hanging down." [Abu Daud, Nasai, and Ibn Majah+

Prophet Mohammed as a husband 10

Aisha ( ) was asked by Al-Aswad b. Yazid what the Prophet used to do in the house. She replied: "He used to work for his family, that is serve his family, and when prayer time came, he went out for prayer." [Bukhari] "Allahs Messenger never found fault with food. If he liked something, he ate it, and if he disliked it, he just abstained from it." [Muslim] Aisha (raa) reported that whenever she was sick, the Prophet (saws) would come to her to show his sympathy. Nor, was he ashamed to let it be known that his love for his wife was greater then his love for any other human being. It is recorded in the Hadith collections of Bukhari and Muslim that someone asked the Prophet: "Who among all the people is most beloved by you?" And he said "Aisha".
The Prophet (saws) never held himself apart from his wives as if they were by their

nature as women inferior. On the Contrary, he included "playing games with ones wife" as one of the legitimate entertainment's. According to the following Hadith:".......There is no amusement which is praiseworthy except three, namely training a horse, sporting with ones wife and shooting arrows with a bow." *Abu Daud, Ibn Majah and Baihaqi+

WOMEN
Pious & Virtuous Women `Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`as (ra) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "The world is but a (quick passing) enjoyment; and the best enjoyment of the world is a pious and virtuous woman". [Muslim]. The qualities of a virtuous woman. When her husband looks at her, she pleases him; when he orders her, she obeys him; and when he is absent, she guards herself (chastity) and the property of her husband.(Abu Dawud and Nasa'i). This Hadith stresses the fact that if one wants success in this world and the Hereafter, he should select a pious wife. Rather than going after her beauty, lineage and wealth, one should give preference to her Faith over all other considerations. If he chooses a woman who is faithful to her Deen and strictly adheres to the Shari`ah, she would be a source of blessing for him in this life and the Hereafter Allahs Messenger said, When a woman observes the five times of prayer, fasts during Ramadan, preserves her chastity and obeys her husband, she may enter by any of the gates of Paradise she wishes. - Reported by At-Tirmidhi, Hadeeth. O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. (Surah Al-Ahzab 59)

Hijab, Parda, Veil

11

And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons..., their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers that you might succeed. [Surah Noor, verse 31] The Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) said: Any woman who puts on perfume and passes by people so that they can smell her fragrance, is an adulteress. (al-Nasaai, Tirmidhi: hasan by Albaani)

Unchaste lewd women The unchaste lewd women are of two types: 1) Those who openly sell their bodies. 2) Those who prostitute their charms i.e. they allow onlookers to witness and praise their physical beauty for their satanic ego satisfaction. ... Men derive mental pleasure from watching semi-nude women, or women wearing skin-tight shalwar-kameez or dresses, with glowing hairstyles and expensive makeup. Although these women do not want to be assulted, their very sight thrills men and stirs hidden passions which may lead to emotional unbalance, causing moral depravity and crime. Let Muslim women heed to the Prophets warning:

Allah curses the one who looks (with lust) and who is looked upon. The Muslim woman is either heedless or unaware of the great harm she is doing by her anti-Islamic behaviour, by dragging others to the pits of evil. To every Muslim woman out there wearing an antiIslamic dress, do you realise that the last man who stared lustfully at your revealing body in the street may go and rape another woman or at least miss his next prayer, as his mind becomes obsessed with satanic notions! Let us remind our sisters that in this so called democratic free world we are treated as sex objects and not as equals by men. The liberation of the modern woman is a myth (this will insha-Allah, be discussed in a future article). In Islam, we women have been given a noble status and our role in life is as important, if not more so in many aspects e.g. family life, as that of men. If the use of the hijab still seems a big step for some sisters, may be some of us can at least ensure our dress is not immodest so that we may gradually return to true Islamic values. I will leave you with the following frightening warnings of Allah and His Messenger sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam. Zina (fornication) of the ears is to listen (to immodest songs or speech, and illicit sex talk of cinema and television). 12

Zina of the tongue is to speak evil (which includes seducing others into evil). (Muslim) The Zina commited by the limbs e.g. eyes, ears, hands, feet, heart and sexual organs will be disclosed on the Day of Judgement, in the presence of your father, mother, children, friends and all mankind.

This day we seal up mouths, and hands speak out and feet bear witness to what they used to earn. (36:65)

ETERNAL LIFE
Judgement Day Three are the (persons) with whom Allah would neither speak on the Day of Resurrection, nor would look at them nor would absolve them and there is a painful chastisement for them. The Messenger of Allah(may peace be upon him)repeated it three times.Abu Dharr(may Allah be pleased with him)remarked: They failed and they lost;who are these persons,Messenger of Allah?Upon this he(the Holy prophet)said; They are:the dragger of lower garment, the one who reminds others(of his gifts)and the seller of goods by false oath. Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) said: The worst people in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection will be the double faced people ... who appear to some people with one face and to other people with another face. Sahih Al Bukhari Vol. 9, Book 27, Hadith 7179 The Prophet S.A.W said Allah will give shade to seven types of people under His Shade on the Day of Resurrection. One of them will be a person who remembers Allah and his eyes are then flooded with tears. - Reported by Bukhari, Muslim.

Least Punishment in Hell Narrated An-Nu'man: I heard the Prophet saying, "The person who will have the least punishment from amongst the Hell Fire people on the Day of Resurrection, will be a man under whose arch of the feet a smoldering ember will be placed so that his brain will boil because of it." [Bukhari Vol 8 Book 76, Hadith 566]

Hell Fire Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu Anhu) narrated: "When Allah's Messenger (SalAllahu Alayhi Wassalam) said,"Your ordinary fire is one of the 70 potions of the hell fire, 'Someone commented,'O Messenger of Allah, Wuld it (ordinery fire) not be sufficent (to burn wrongdoers),'At that,Allah's messenger

13

(Saw) said,'The Hellfire has 96 potions than of ordinary (Wordly) fire, and alla of them are as hot as this (wordly fire)' This (wordly fire)'. {Sahih Al Bukhari}. Abdullah bin Amr narrated that Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wasallam) said: Two eyes will not be touched by Hellfire: An eye that cries from the fear of Allah, and an eye that spent the night in a guard post (in jihad) in the path of Allah. *Tirmidhi+

Inhabitants or Heaven and Hell Narrated 'Imran bin Husain Radiallahu anhu: The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, "I looked at Paradise and found poor people forming the majority of its inhabitants; and I looked at Hell and saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women." Sahih Bukhari, 3241

SATAN
Dialogue between Allah & Satan "[Satan] said, "Because you have put me in error, I will surely sit in wait for them on Your straight path." "Then I will come to them from before them and from behind them and on their right and on their left, and You will not find most of them grateful [to You]." "[Allah] said, "Get out of Paradise, reproached and expelled. Whoever follows you among them - I will surely fill Hell with you, all together." Surah Al-A'raf v.16-18. Satans Tricks "And never let Satan avert you. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy" [Surat Az Zukhruf 43:62] The Prophet (pbuh) said, During your sleep, Satan ties three knots at the back of your necks. He breathes the following into them, The night is long so keep on sleeping. If the person wakes & praises Allah, then one of the knots is unfastened. And if he performs ablution, the second knot is unfastened. When he prays, all of the knots are unfastened. After that he will be energetic & happy. Otherwise he would get up listless & grouchy. - Reported by Bukhari, Hadith.

HYPOCRITES
4 Traits of Hypocrites On the authority of Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (sas) said:"Four traits whoever possesses them is a hypocrite and whoever possesses some of them has an element of hypocrisy until he leaves it: the one who when he speaks he lies, when he promises he breaks his promise, when he disputes he transgresses and when he makes an agreement he violates it. Muslim and Bukhari

Avoiding Jamaat Prayer 14

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "No prayer is harder for the hypocrites than the Fajr and the 'Isha' prayers and if they knew the reward for these prayers at their respective times, they would certainly present themselves (in the mosques) even if they had to c awl." The Prophet added, "Certainly I decided to order the Mu'adh-dhin (call-maker) to pronounce Iqama and order a man to lead the prayer and then take a fire flame to burn all those who had not left their houses so far for the prayer along with their houses." (Sahih Bukhari, Book #11, Hadith #626)

Funeral Prayers of Hypocrites Narrated Ibn 'Umar: When 'Abdullah bin Ubai (the chief of hypocrites) died, his son came to the Prophet and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Please give me your shirt to shroud him in it, offer his funeral prayer and ask for Allah's forgiveness for him." So Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) gave his shirt to him and said, "Inform me (When the funeral is ready) so that I may offer the funeral prayer." So, he informed him and when the Prophet intended to offer the funeral prayer, 'Umar took hold of his hand and said, "Has Allah not forbidden you to offer the funeral prayer for the hypocrites? The Prophet said, "I have been given the choice for Allah says: '(It does not avail) Whether you (O Muhammad) ask forgiveness for them (hypocrites), or do not ask for forgiveness for them. Even though you ask for their forgiveness seventy times, Allah will not forgive them. (9.80)" So the Prophet offered the funeral prayer and on that the revelation came: "And never (O Muhammad) pray (funeral prayer) for any of them (i.e. hypocrites) that dies." (9. 84) (Sahih Bukhari, Book #23, Hadith #359) DAJJAL Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet said, "There will be no town which Ad-Dajjal will not enter except Mecca and Medina, and there will be no entrance (road) (of both Mecca and Medina) but the angels will be standing in rows guarding it against him, and then Medina will shake with its inhabitants thrice (i.e. three earth-quakes will take place) and Allah will expel all the nonbelievers and the hypocrites from it." (Sahih Bukahri, Book #30, Hadith #105) Hypocrites on Judgement Day Narrated Safwan bin Muhriz Almazini: While I was walking with Ibn 'Umar holding his hand, a man came in front of us and asked, "What have you heard from Allah's Apostle about An-Najwa?" Ibn 'Umar said, "I heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'Allah will bring a believer near Him and shelter him with His Screen and ask him: Did you commit such-and-such sins? He will say: Yes, my Lord. Allah will keep on asking him till he will confess all his sins and will think that he is ruined. Allah will say: 'I did screen your sins in the world and I forgive them for you today', and then he will be given the book of his good deeds. Regarding infidels and hypocrites (their evil acts will be exposed publicly) and the witnesses will say: These are the people who lied against their Lord. Behold! The Curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers." (11.18) (Sahih Bukahri, Book #43, Hadith #621) Knoweledgeable Hypocrites Hadrat Umar mentioned the hadeeth of the Prophet Muhammad (Sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam): Allah's Messenger Muhammad (Sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) said"The thing from which I fear for you the most is the knowledgeable hypocrite." Hadrat Umar was then asked: "How can a hypocrite be knowledgeable?" To which Hadrat Umar answered: "He speaks with wisdom but acts with injustice." [Transmitted by Sahih Bukhari] In the Sharia, nifaaq (hypocrisy) is of two types: o Greater (An-Nifaaq Al-Akbar): To present an outward appearance of belief in Allah, his Angels, his books, his messengers, the last day, etc. while concealing with that 15

which negates all or some of that. This is the hypocrisy which the Prophet Muhammad (Sal-allahu-alleihi-wasallam) confronted during his life and the ones who Allah said in the Quran that they are in "the lowest depth of hell-fire". Lesser (An-Nifaaq Al-Asghar): or hypocrisy of action: To present an outward appearance of good and good deeds while concealing within that which negates that.

SHIRK & BIDDAH

Kissing Stones According to Sahih Bukhari, Volume 2,book of Hajj, chapter 56, H.No. 675. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, I know that you are a stone and can neither benefit nor harm. Had I not seen the Prophet (peace be upon Him) touching (and kissing) you, I would never have touched (and kissed) you. Innovations The Messenger of Allah said, I council you to fear Allah and to give absolute obedience even if a slave becomes your leader. Verily, he amongst you who lives long will see great controversy, so you must keep to my sunnah and to the sunnah of the rightly-guided Khalifahs - cling to them stubbornly. Beware of newly invented matters, for every invented matter is an innovation and every innovation is a going astray, and every going astray is in Hell-fire. - Reported by At-Tirmidhi & Abu Dawood, Hadith. Worshipping Graves "You cannot make the dead hear, you cannot make the deaf listen to your call when they turn their backs and leave." (Qur'an 27:80) Celebrating Birthdays

Success The way to be successful in the end, is to turn to Allah at the beginning .Yasir Qadhi Beating Shaytaan If the shaytaan looks at you and sees that you are consistent in an act of obedience to Allah he will try to come to you again and again. If he sees that you are persistent in your actions (despite his efforts), he will tire of you and leave you. But if he sees that you are one day like this and one day like that, he will have high hopes in you. Hurting Spouse 17

'Hurting' your spouse who really cares for you is as easy as throwing stone in the lake... You don't know, how deep that stone goes.. So, choose your words carefully to not hurt your spouse and control yourself when you are angry before it is too late.

Anger If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow

Not to Envy Why waste your time and energy, and poison your attitude, by being envious? Instead of being envious, be inspired. Not only is it impossible for you to live someone elses life, even if you could do it you wouldnt really like it. What you can do is joyfully live your own life, informed and instructed by the joy you see in others. ... Your greatest fulfillment comes from being you. If someone elses life looks appealing, the most realistic and effective response is to emulate, not to envy. Envy is centered in an overwhelming sense of lack and limitation. So if you envy, you push away the very things you desire. A much more powerful and positive response is to be sincerely thankful for the good fortune of others. When you do that, youre able to benefit from that good fortune too. Stop creating envy. And start allowing your very own version of lifes great abundance. Value People Value the people who sacrifice their 'something' for you, because maybe that something was their everything. Real Man A real man is the one who fears the death of his heart, not his body. Ibn al-Qayyim Balance of Life An Angel announces daily: "Birth of more human beings means so many more will die, collection of more wealth means of much more will be destroyed, erection of more buildings means so many more ruins will come"[Hazrat Imam Ali] Allah knows when you do something for someone and theyre not grateful when you get up to pray in the early hours of the morning while the rest of the world is asleep 18

when you hold your tongue instead of being rude or disrespectful when you dont argue with your parents even though you know youre right when you do the right thing when no-ones watching when you make duaa for your enemies instead of hurting them with bad words when you do the smallest of smallest of good deeds, so small even youve forgotten about it.. Allah knows. And whoever does an atoms weight of good will see it (Quraan 99:7) THE BEARD: The only visible Sunnah you take into the grave with you....

Tests from Allah To all those suffering from sadness or depression, know that it isnt your fault. It isnt because youre weak. It isnt because youre just not grateful enough. It isnt because youre just not religious enough. It isnt because you dont have enough faith. It isnt because Allah is angry with you. To all the well-meaning people who tell you this, just smile. And know deep in your heart that the tests of Allah come in different forms to different people. And know that, by the help of Allah, every test can become a tool to get closer to Him. And that, "verily with hardship comes ease" [Quran 94:5] and like all things of this world, this too shall pass When you're feeling unappreciative or unsatisfied with your life, remember that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala chose you to be guided. He could have sealed your heart to Islam, but He didn't. He chose you to be a Muslim and that's the biggest blessing you could ever receive...so say Alhamdullilah always and be grateful for this great blessing The heavier the burdens placed on you by Allah, the more strength He will give you to carry them. . . [Yasir Qadhi]

Opprortunities Life is like a flowing river of opportunities... Its up to you to stand up with a bucket or with a spoon. They say Islam preaches hate. They say Islam preaches hate.We say yes it does like.... Hatred for shirk, hatred for arrogance, hatred for oppression, hatred for corruption...and the list goes on. Dawah Dawah is to gain the pleasure of Allah and not popularity with people.. Pride

Every king was once a crying baby, every great building was once a map. It's not important where you are today; the most important thing is where you will reach tomorrow. Never be proud of what position you hold, because after a game of chess, the king and the soldiers go into the same box.

Living Rich If you want to feel rich give some of your wealth to the one that provided it to you. Hypocrites On the authority of Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (sas) said: "Four traits whoever possesses them is a hypocrite and whoever possesses some of them has an element of hypocrisy until he leaves it: the one who when he speaks he lies, when he promises he breaks his promise, when he disputes he transgresses and when he makes an agreement he violates it. Muslim and Bukhari Other wordings of this same hadith: "The signs of the hypocrite are three: when he speaks he lies, when he promises he breaks his promise and when he is entrusted he betrays the trust." (Bukhari and Muslim) "even if he prays and fasts and imagines that he is a Muslim" (Muslim) "Among the signs of the hypocrite are three" (Muslim) Nifaaq (hypocrisy) in the Arabic language means the general category of deception, scheming and presenting an outward appearance of good while concealing its opposite. In the Sharia, nifaaq is of two types: 21

a) Greater (An-Nifaaq Al-Akbar): To present an outward appearance of belief in Allah, his Angels, his books, his messengers, the last day, etc. while concealing withing that which negates all or some of that. This is the hypocrisy which the Prophet (sas) confronted during his life and the ones who Allah said in the Quran that they are in "the lowest depth of hell-fire". b) Lesser (An-Nifaaq Al-Asghar) or hypocrisy of action: To present an outward appearance of good and good deeds while concealing within that which negates that. This form of hypocrisy is built on the 5 things mentioned in the hadith at hand. The actions in this hadith are all part of lesser hypocrisy. One who has these character traits in interaction with other people is most likely to have them with regard to Allah and his Prophet (sas). That is why the existence of them is a sign of the existence of greater nifaaq. Lying. Al-Hassan Al-Basri said: "Nifaaq is the difference between the inner and the appearance, between statement and action and between entering and leaving and it used to be said that the foundation of nifaaq upon which it is built is lying." Breaking Promises. This falls into two categories: a) Making a promise with no intention of keeping it. Al-Awzaaiy said that one who says "I will do such-and-such isha Allah" without intending to do it has committed both lying and breaking a promise. b) Making a promise intending to keep it and then later deciding to break it. Transgression in Dispute. The main meaning of transgression here is to intentionally speak other than truth making truth falsehood and vice versa. Lying calls to this as in the hadith: "Beware of lying for lying guides to transgression and transgression leads to the fire." (Bukhari and Muslim). Also, the Prophet (sas) said: "The most hated of men to Allah is the one given to fierce and violent disputation." (Bukhari and Muslim) Also, the Prophet (sas) said about the one who takes what is not his through clever speech has only been given a piece of the fire. Breaking Agreements. Allah said: {And fulfill your agreements for verily agreements will be asked about} Al-Israa: 34. And: ,And fulfill Allahs agreement when you have made an agreement and dont violate your oaths after they have been established and you have made Allah your guardian (therein)} An-Nahl: 91. Also: Aal-Imraan: 77. This applies to Muslim and non-Muslim alike. The Prophet (sas) said: "Whoever kills an individual protected by treaty without right will not even smell the scent of paradise and its scent can be found at a distance of forty years march." The most serious oath to dishonor is the oath of allegiance to the khalifa of the Muslims. Betraying of Trusts. When a Muslim is entrusted with something, he must do his best to protect it and to render it back to its owner when the time comes. Allah said: {Verily, Allah orders you to render trusts to their rightful owners- An-Nisaa: 58 Also: Al-Anfaal: 27. These issues have all been connected to hypocrisy in the Quran: a) Al-Munaafiqoon: 1-2 (Lying, breaking oaths) b) At-Tauba: 73-77 (False oaths, breaking promises (to Allah), lying) c) Al-Ahzaab: 72-73 (Betraying trusts)

Umar mentioned the hadith of the Prophet (sas): "The thing from which I fear for you the most is the knowledgeable hypocrite." Umar was then asked: "How can a hypocrite be knowledgeable?" To which Umar answered: "He speaks with wisdom but acts with injustice." Ibn Umar was told: "We enter the presence of the ruler we speak to him other than what we say after we leave." Ibn Umar said: "We used to consider that hypocrisy." (Bukhari) Ibn Abi Mulaika said: "I encountered thirty Companions of the Prophet (sas) every one of them fears hypocrisy for himself and Al-Hassan Al-Basri used to say about it: No one fears it but a believer and no one feels safe from it but a hypocrite." (Bukhari) Another aspect of hypocrisy is to do apparently good deeds with wicked intentions. Allah said: {They set up a masjid for the purpose of harm, kufr, creating division among the Muslims and as an outpost for those making war against Allah and His Prophet before this and they will swear "We only intended good." And Allah bears witness that they are liars.} At-Tauba: 107 Also: {Do not imagine that those who are joyful with what they have done and love to be praised for that which they did not do do not imagine them to be safe from punishment and theirs is a painful punishment.} Aal-Imraan: 188

Consciousness will vary and this is not hypcrisy. The Prophet (sas) said to Handhala: "If you were to continue in the state which you achieved in my presence, the angels would greet you in your sittings and in the streets however, O Handhala, there are times and there are times."
