1. MLA Citation Spitz, Bob. The Beatles: the biography. New York: Brown Little, 2005. Print. 2.

Annotation There are many books and authors who write about the Beatles but no one with more devotion than Bob Spitz. He has been finding as much background and research as possible before her can get a legitimate interview with the members of the band. The biography includes how long it took for them to become a successful band, personal events back in the day and much more. Spitz had to do his homework before he approached the band by interviewing their acquaintances, reading books and journals, and just taking an interest in that type of music and lifestyle. This book would be a credible enough source for such research. 3. Key Quotes As the author of Dylan: A Biography (1989), Spitz knew well the pitfalls of taking a near legend as his subject. The author, working methodically, began by traveling to Liverpool, England, and interviewing everyone available who had been involved with the Beatles there.

4. Evaluation I would have to rate the source 9/10 because of the high amount of research that was done for the topic. The author definitely knows the material and is on point. Some of the information provided were things that the author heard from other people and documents.

It would take some time to become as big as they were. Their television broadcast on the Ed Sullivan show was a record breaking viewing audience at that time. About 50000 people wanted to get seats for that performance but there were only over 700 available seats at the studio. 3. Key Quotes Ducking into limousines, waving to screeching fans across police barricades, fielding silly questions at press conferences, they mugged and clowned and gagged it up to the delight of us reporters, who quickly wore out the adjectives "cheeky" and "irreverent."
