480/P1 SQUADRON ROUTINE ORDERS BY FLIGHT LIEUTENANT MP HULME RAFVR(T) OFFICER COMMANDING 480 (STUDLEY) SQUADRON AIR TRAINING

CORPS

SERIAL NO 1 Dated 09 FEB 12

ORDER NO 1. DISSEMINATION OF SQUADRON STANDING & ROUTINE ORDERS 1. Copies of Sqn Standing Orders (SSOs) and Sqn Routine Orders (SROs) are to be displayed in the Staff Admin Office, the SNCOs Office and the Parade Room Noticeboard. ORDER NO 2. CORE TRAINING ACTIVITIES 2. Annex A details the Sqns Core Training (CT) Activities for 2012. CT activities have priority above all other events and every step must be taken to ensure that these places are filled. Personnel found to be avoiding the CT activities but choosing to attend the Voluntary Activities will be questioned by the OC Sqn. 3. Included within the CT activities are Wing Training Day and the annual Remembrance Parade in Studley. All personnel are reminded that these activities are classed as Mandatory Parades. Personnel unable to attend are to explain to the OC Sqn why they are not able to attend. 4. All personnel are to check the eligibility criteria for an activity before putting their name down. Once the final list has been compiled, personnel are expected to attend. Those that do not will be questioned by the OC Sqn. 5. Staff allocated to transport Cadets to a CT activity, or those attending a CT activity as part of their own training need, are responsible for co-coordinating all administration for the activity, including any travel claims. 5. Where Staff find themselves unable to meet their allocation, they are to arrange appropriate cover for the activity. ORDER NO 3. VOLUNTARY TRAINING ACTIVITIES 6. Annex B details the Sqns Voluntary Training (VT) Activities for 2012. VT activities are secondary to CT activities in all cases. 7. VT activities are often subject to a bidding process and a financial cost. Therefore once the final list has been compiled, personnel are expected to attend. Those that do not will be questioned by the OC Sqn.

8. All personnel are to check the eligibility criteria for an activity before putting their name down and should be aware of the fact that these activities may require additional training before being eligible to attend. ORDER NO 4. DRESS ON SQN PARADES 9. The Sqn Training Programme details the activity and expected dress for a parade night. Uniformed personnel are expected to attend in that dress. Those that do not will be questioned by the Sqn WO. Were there may be a justification for a variation in dress, the case is to be put forward to the Sqn Trg Off and the OC Sqn. ORDER NO 5. SQN FLIGHT LISTS 10. Annex C details the Sqn Flight Lists as at 9 Feb 12. Changes to these lists will be promulgated by future SROs. ORDER NO 6. SQN SHOOTING 11. Shooting at Redditch TAC will run every Thursday, rotating between groups, from Jan to Apr 12 before preparation for Wing Training Day commences. ORDER NO 7. RECRUIT & CLASSIFICATION TRAINING INSTRUCTORS 12. Annex D details the list of instructors responsible for Recruit and Classification training. Instructors are to liaise with the Sqn Trg Off with regard to their lesson requirements. ORDER NO 8. STORES 13. CI T Smallman is designated as i/c Stores. Cadets requiring items of uniform or equipment for activities are to approach CI Smallman in the first instance. Items of Blue uniform will only be exchanged on a like-for-like basis. All other items are to be signed for using an RAF Form 668 (Loan Card) and returned as soon as possible after the activity.
