The new company activities were mainly to regulate the electricity sector in Jordan, especially with respect to power generation and distribution. The National Electric Power Company resulted from the restructuring process of the National Electric Power Company into three companies. The company's headquarter is located in Amman. There are 1,048 employees as of 31 December 2005 (31 December 2004: 991 employees) Career Highlights: Working as a system administrator for NEPCO Open VMS servers. Doing all the required administration tasks for RMS and ORACLE RDB applications on OPEN VMS servers. Working as a system administrator for NEPCO Tru64 Unix servers. Planning and managing backup policy for NEPCO servers and databases. Managing NEPCO backup servers (Networker backup solution).

technology which utilizing the Previous cluster environments. In addition to our new enterprise Backup solution for backing up heterogeneous environments (NETWORKER) Software.

MAR 98 JAN 2003 System Engineering Section /System Administrator NEPCO Responsibilities & Achievements: During this period I was the key person in moving CEGCO and EDCO Power companies computer environment and all the working applications from our main servers to their main servers since their applications were working on NEPCO servers before migration process. Tuning and managing main operating system (OPEN VMS) Managing Open VMS system resources such as: (Users, security, devices and system resources CPU and memory) Managing Oracle 7.0-1 RDB single and multi files databases through (RDO and RMU utilities). Troubleshooting Open VMS operating system and end users problems. Writing needed DCL command procedures for administration purposes. Managing Open VMS logical names , symbols according to system and end users applications needs. Tuning and managing main operating system (TRU64 Unix) Managing TRU64 Unix system resources such as: (users, security, devices and system resources like CPU and memory) Troubleshooting Tru64 Unix operating system and end users Problems. Writing needed shell scripts for administration purposes.
