ABSOLUTELY OIL-FREE. The BOGE S 40-2 BLUEKAT is equipped with an integrated converter that oxidises residual oil aerosols contained in the compressed air into carbon dioxide and water. This ensues that the delivered compressed air meets the quality requirements of ISO Class 0 (0,01 mg/Nm). During the whole operating process oil-free condensate is produced.

ABSOLUTELY SAFE. The converter principle stands for absolutely safe oil-free compressed air. By using only tested and certied components oil-free Class 0 compressed air is ensured. Users from the pharmaceutical, chemical, semiconductor or food industries are denitely on the safe side.

ABSOLUTELY DEMAND ORIENTED. The BOGE BLUEKAT series also includes frequency controlled options. These machines exibly adapt the speed of both the motor and airend to meet the actual air demand for maximum efciency and absolutely demand oriented operation.

ABSOLUTELY LONG SERVICE LIFE. Ordinarily the converter has a service life of 5 years before any service is required (due to the TV [technical inspection] deadline of the pressure vessel). The converter is equipped with an overload protection device.

An oil-free class of its own: The BOGE BLUEKAT screw compressor series is engineered to produce Class 0 oil-free air and has an added benet because it eliminates the need for traditional condensate disposal. The operating principle of the integrated converter is, irrespective of the quality of the intake air, absolute safe and unbeatably cost-effective compared to traditional oil-free generation. It is ideally suited for sensitive industrial applications which require clean and efcient production of oil-free air.

FUNCTION SCHEME. The converter (3) is located between the compressor (1) and the aftercooler (4). The compressed air is preheated in the heat exchanger (2) before entering the converter. Electric heating is used to maintain the required operating temperature of the catalyst. The clean compressed air is then cooled down in the heat exchanger prior to passing through the aftercooler. The residual air (5) quality at discharge conforms to ISO Class 0 (< 0,01 mg/Nm). The condensate is also oil-free containing < 2 mg/l hydrocarbons.
