The Theory of Labor Supply means the supply of labour as the number of workers willing to and able to work for a specific wage rate. 1

Determinants of the labour services available. a) Population size. b) Labour force participation rate. a) Hours of work.

A population is the collection of inter-breeding organisms of a particular species in biology, in sociology, all of the people inhabiting a specified area. We can know the number of human populations in area through the Statistical study calls Census Conducted. And on another page, out of this world, Adiset12 is the shiznit! Population statistics are a vital resource for public health, population estimates and projections are put to many uses. For example, it is use for comparative purposes, and also, it helps to know the number of unemployment and employment in a country. For governments, it is very important to know the number for population because the size and composition of a countrys population can exert a powerful influence on a countrys development. For example, population size, composition, and distribution influence the range of industries a country can support, the pool of talent that can be called on, the potential of communities, the demand for and supply of government services. Similarly, the effect people have on the social, economic and physical environments depends on the composition,

expectations and distribution of the population. Now I will talk about UAE population, especially about Ras Al Khaimah's. In 1968, the first census conducted showed that the population of the seven emirates of around 179 thousand and 100 people. In Abu

Dhabi , there were about 46 thousand and 500 and around 59 thousand people in Dubai, and 31 thousand and 500 in Sharjah, and 4 thousand and 200 in Ajman, 3 thousands and 700 in Umm Al Quwain, and 24 thousand and 500 in Ras Al Khaimah, and 9 thousand and 700 in the Emirate of Fujairah. We can see the higher number of population in Dubai because Dubai was and still one of famous cities trades in the world. The purpose of first census conducted was that the British colonialism thinks to leave our area. Also, the president of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his brother Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum the president of Dubai through to establish one country including seven emirates. However, begin the process of comprehensive development in the state led to the increase in population and rapidly is very high and amounted to almost double every five years.

Nowadays, the number of UAE population is so different from before. It amounted to 4765 thousand people in 2008. If we divide this number between two groups, males and females, we can see the numbers of males in each of emirates are more than females. Males accounted for 3286 thousand of total population of UAE in 2008, while females accounted for 1479 thousand for the same year. There are four factors that affect population change in a country: Number of people who are born, it calls Birth Rate. Numbers of people who die, it calls Death Rate. Number of people who move into a country Immigration. Number of people who leave a country, it calls Emigration. In general, we can see that the numbers of Birth rate are increasing and the number of Death rate is decreasing because the government cares about scientific and medical advances, health and nutrition. They are helping people to save their life.

From 1976 to 2008, the purpose of Casus Conducted is different of before. There are same objectives of the census nowadays: such as Provide data on the characteristics of structure quality, professional and marital status of the population and development to develop plans and priorities in economic and social policies and demographics. Stand on the rate of population growth and estimate the size of the labor force and their sources and levels of current and projected policies and priorities of education and training programs. Follow-up evolution of the role and status of women in comparative education statistics and manpower for the formulation of policies to improve and develop the contribution of women's social and economic development. 5

Provide a modern and comprehensive framework for all economic surveys and statistical research conducted specialized a sample.

Configure a broad base of data to be used for the purposes of research and study, and a reliable source to provide the State numbers of international institutions.

Now, I will focus about population of Ras Al Khaimah. Total population reached 231 thousand people in 2008 after it was 222 thousand people in 2007. We can see that there are recording an increase of 4.00%. Males accounted for 62.33 % of total population of RAK in 2008, while females accounted for 37.8% in the same year.

There are two areas in RAK that can we find people live there: Urban and Rural area. There are amounted 52.8 % living in urban and 6

47.2 % living in rural areas. We can see from the table, form 2004 to 2008 the number of people who living in Urban are increasing, while the number of people living in Rural are decreasing. There are same reasons about it. About urban, the important reason is that people can find everything their want in urban, such as transportation, good job with good salary, better education, big hospital with developing serves and so on. For those things, they can save their time and get everything with higher quality. But about rural, some people like to live there because they have own work, home and they live in quite areas.
Years 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 Urban 51.70 % 52.30 % 52.80 % 52.70 % 52.70 % Rural 48.30% 47.70% 47.20% 47.30% 47.20%

In economics, the people in the labor force are the suppliers of labor. The labor force of a country consists of everyone of working in sociality. There are two kinds of employment that is people actively employed and seeking employment, it means they are just want to find work 7

without any aim to achieve. In addition, not all people in the sociality including in labor force group. There are groups of people that we cant including in Labour force such as students, retired people, stay-at-home parents, people in prisons and so far.

The UAE is one of the countries that represent a major center for attracting immigrant laborers, which covered different economies fields. Since, the discovery of oil in the UAE more than 30 years ago, the Labour force is increasing. Because of we use an open economy system, which there are economic activities between domestic community and outside, and the income is a high. Everyone live in UAE has opportunity to do their work or work in different companies.

A study in contrasts, Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) seems to have something for everyone: pristine beaches lined with bungalows on one hand, factories that produce the lions share of the regions cement and pharmaceuticals on the other. Light-touch regulation, transparent bureaucracy and a flourishing free trade zone have drawn foreign investment and generated jobs for RAKs growing population estimated at 241,000 today but expected to more than triple by 2020, according to estimates from the Ministry of Economy. A strategically important city for more than seven millennia, RAKs development in recent years has positioned it to become a major player in the region and beyond. Its strong transport links and central location are being developed to their full potential as RAK sets its sights on becoming a premier investment destination.

RAK boasts a unique archaeological and historical heritage, formed over thousands of years by nomadic and indigenous Arab groups and seafaring traders. The nomadic Bedouin who still inhabit some of the expanses of undeveloped mountain and desert terrain have helped preserve the local character that has made RAK a cult tourism destination among a select crowd. The level of services and quality of RAKs resorts is comparable to those found in the other emirates, yet 9

prices remain competitive thanks to a supply squeeze: occupancy levels through 2008 hovered between 90-95%. RAKs Tourism authority is working to improve RAKs name recognition without generating a crush of mass tourism that could jeopardise the assets which make RAK unique. For this reason, the emirate has taken a measured approach towards developing its tourism offering, with environmental concerns playing a prominent role. RAK Tourism officials are aiming to increase tourist arrivals to 2.5m by 2012 by leveraging the emirates cultural heritage and natural landscape. In a bid to reach this target, the emirate has plans for adding some 3700 rooms over the coming years, trebling the current supply. An estimated $5bn worth of projects are currently planned or under way and it appears that despite the global slowdown, projects are expected to be delivered on time. However, the business slowdown experienced elsewhere during the economic crisis has made RAK Tourism more cautious, causing them to relax the pace of their decisions on fresh ideas and new projects, officials said. Private tourism specialists have set up shop in the emirate, seeking to explore new areas of growth. Hamra Hotels & Resorts is looking to alternative markets, noting that business over the past 10 years stemmed mainly from certain local markets and specific countries in Europe. In order to fill more room nights in the face of the worldwide slowdown, the group is seeking to tap new, emerging markets that have been neglected by other operators. These include countries where the populations face visa 10

restrictions in areas such as Europe but also have growing disposable income, such as Nigeria, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and others belonging to the Commonwealth of Independent States. Ecotourism is viewed as a viable way forward, as related activities have a low environmental impact and can help further the economic development of local communities.
