R.I.P-Geek Exaggerrations When I see people speaking about computers, I dig my ears deeper into their mounths.

It is quite fun hearing these stuff. But more than listening to the topics, I like to hear the dumbest words of these people-speaking with large mounths (as if they knew everything). I hear some people speaking about hacking this and that, without knowing what a hash is. Let me tell you, they don't know anything of what they speak. It is senseless.Don't argue...,well,some people do know very much and I like listening to them (This does't mean I know everything). Once when I was sitting in the class, one guy came around and opened up a conversation. "What type of PC do you have at home?". "A Mac",I replied.Actually I don't have a Mac, but I wanted to see his reaction. After a few seconds, "Does it have windows?" I stood gaping, not knowing what to say.Wathcing my silence he began saying "Oh! That was stupid...All Macs have windows in it, right?" I assume that at least 50% of the readers understood what a mac is. If not, a Mac or Macintosh is a computer designed by Apple.Inc having Mac OS which is also designed by Apple.Inc.I don't know more , so no further details. If you are an aspiring tech enthusiast ,you must know about these things.Try to know more because knowing is good and today you know that computers are used in every field. It is actually a sequential process involving the following steps1-Barely clicking the mouse, and other baby stuff. 2-Game installation 3-Software modification (like cracks and other stuff) 4-Hardware knowledge 5-OS 6-Programming 7-Linux 8-CPU architecture 9-Chip specific design based subjects like Hardwiring, DFT, FFT etc. Every kid is born in this world, knowing the first step and there is no body in this digital age who does not know about existence of computers (Thanks to the plummetting price of the computers). The second and thirdsteps are also overcomeby children of even fifth grade. Now, as we move down, the steps become more and more complex and less and less people tend to know about these. Look back and find out where you are know

If it is hardware knowledge, try to know more about the working of computers and then virtually try opening them-VIRTUALLY -because I don't want you to tell my name in case of any trouble to your parents. Once you have enough knowledge (complete - not half boiled egg knowledge, and to be frank, this is where I am now). In case of OS or Operating Systems, understand about the types of OS, file services, including memory management, file systems etc. If you think you are a hacker or programmer, study the concepts of programming and several other programming languages and the exploits of each type of server (You need to be upto date), its vulnerabilities and some types of attacks like DOS,DDOS,SYN/ACK flooding etc. Subsequently, when you learn about OS, you also learn about Linux (An acronym of Linux Is Not UniX) which was born from the ashes of UNIX, a free, open source, modifiable, redistributable OS. You can modify it upto the core and this is the best part of Linux and why I like it. CPU architecture comes down to hardware section, but it is one of the deepest aspects of computing. It involves the methodology of process execution and several architectural designs like the 8086 processor design and several other things. Chip specific design based subjects are subjects among the core of computing.Further description will leave your mind tangled. Well, most of you might start thinking that I am a moron, beacuse I didn't say more about the topics. Actually I need not. The internet or the Google God (As I call it) is at your disposal. You can find everything in the net. NOTE:Some of you might start thinking about the postion of web designing in these steps. For those guys who have thought about it, I would say it lies in the sixth step, i.e. programming Another aspect of being a geek or a computer wizard is how you 'wear' your brains. Geeks are smart guys, who are up-to-date with all the tech stuff. They wear their brains (i.e. arrange their dresses) in such a fashion that they exhibit thier skills. Geeks talk less. They only start speaking when someone uts a hand on his shoulder, with a pathetic, help-seeking face. 'Tank' from 'The Matrix' and of course the well-known 'Matthew Ferrel' of 'Die Hard 4.0' with so thick hair in which you can store pencils in and well-occupied with tech stuff are some of the best examples for these geeks from movies. I could have continued to say all about this but I would bore you to death by doing so.Let me give you one final word-Don't brag that you know this and that. Instead show your talent practically. This is what it means becoming a geek. If you have a passion towards the subject of computers, don't let it down. If you don't, well you will suffer since these mystical creatures are used everywhere. And don't put your entire trust on these things, they may sell you out. Like J.K.Rowling says, 'Never trust anything that has a head and but don't

know where it is situated (This applies to both humans and computers). NOTE:Some of you might have noticed that I only used 'he' for describing a geek. That is because very few women are interested in this subject. But, let me tell you, I have also seen such women who are ready to sell their jewellery to get their hands on tech stuff.
