SBIRT is a comprehensive, integrated, public health approach that provides opportunities for early intervention before more severe consequences occur. It is a movement sweeping across the nation. Generations 2012 will play host to one of the frst major trainings for professionals in the west. In addition to the specifc tools, the SBIRT Training on March 30th from 8:00 to 4:00 at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center will help individuals and organizations design methods for implementation. This program will be conducted for invited guests and interested individuals from the conference. Continuing ed will be offered, however, space will be limited. This program will be sponsored by the Utah Division of Substance Abuse & Mental Health in partnership with the Utah Addiction Center - making it free for attendees.
