Comments
Greater Plutonio is one of the largest contracts executed by FMC. The project is executing some significant firsts in Angola. In addition to the production of six (6) manifolds and forty-two (42) PGBs at local suppliers, twenty-five (25) of the subsea trees are assembled locally at the FKIA Luanda Base. A comprehensive training program of Angolan nationals is completed. Management, fabrication, assembly and offshore service assistance are localized in Luanda. A 1,400 m2 Pipe Work Fabrication Hall in Lobito is built for execution of the manifold contract. The Greater Plutonio project will initially develop five (5) fields: Galio, Cromio, Paladio, Plutonio and Cobalto. A spread-moored FPSO, located southeast of Paladio, will process the fluids produced from the subsea production wells. A single flowline will accommodate production from the Northern system (Galio, Cromio and Paladio), and a looped flowline system will accommodate production from the Southern system (Cobalto and Plutonio). Manifolds will be offline from the flowlines and connected via tie-in spools to inline tree assemblies. Water injection will be used to provide reservoir pressure maintenance. Injection water will be transported by a single flowline for the Northern system, and by two (2) flowlines for the Southern system. First oil was achieved 1st of October 2007.
