Course Description Introduction to Information Systems; Concepts of management, concepts of information, systems concepts; Information Systems and Organizations; Securing the Enterprise and Business Continuity; decision making process; planning, designing, developing and implementing information systems; future developments and their organizational and social implications; decision support system and expert systems; alignment of IT to business strategy; Impact of IT on enterprises, users, and environment. Scope and Objectives This course demonstrates how information technologies can give business a strategic advantage. This course aims at diffusing the basic concepts related to system analysis and design to help students conceptualize the need and development an effective management information systems capable to support business decisions.
