Oromiyaa Oromia...........

Poem by Big Z Share Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 2:45pm Biyyaa tiyyaa, Onnee tiyyaa Atii naaf tiruu, kalee fi cinaachaa Maal jedheen si faarsaa An sif hin qabu jechaa Where would I be without you? What would I be without you? Without you I will not find The beautiful girls that got everyone drooling Without you I will not find The brave soldier that stopped Mussolini drilling Oromia Oromia Oromia Thats why I represent you Every day of my life Every seconds of my breath Till the day of my death I represent Oromia, The red green red Odaa in between The country that is so beautiful yet unrecognized The country so rich yet its people are starved to death The country with brave warriors yet its people are burned in the hell of colonization The country with first democratic system yet its people ruled by dictator Biyyaa tiyyaa, Onnee tiyyaa Atii naaf tiruu, kalee fi cinaachaa Maal jedheen si faarsa An sif hin qabu jechaa Oromiyaa sirraa fagaadhee biyyaa bahuus Hidhaamee dararamus, duee awwalamus Si hin irraanfadhuu, sif falmuu hin dhiisu Gumaan gootowwanii takka na hin raffisu Hangan afaan qabu si ibsuu hin lakkisu Hangan quba qabu sif barreessuu hin dhiisu The country with so many talented speakers Yet wont allowed to speak the truth Oromia the country with the rich minerals The country with so many brave generals Oromia the country with the beautiful weather Beautiful greenery in the summer or winter The mother of the first human kind With the people that are one of kind I miss you every day until the day I go back Until then I gotta carry the pain on my back The pain that I cant see you when I want to The pain that I cant live in you like I want to Oromia, Oromia, Oromia I wont forget you please dont forget me I will be back but I just dont know when It will be my heaven then, the day I see you again The day my back drops its long waited pain

I have tears in my eyes as I write this poem Its mixed with tears of joy and sadness I feel the sadness b/c I have you yet I cant live in you I have family back home yet half of them are in jail I have so many friends yet half of them are not even alive That what got me in tears The fears of not seeing what I once cherished The fears of not finding the my childhood friends The list goes on and on I will be back and I will see you free Until then I will carry the pain In my stomach, in my chest in my brain Oromia oromia I see you again Oromiyaa faagadhee sira hin bahu Qaaman malee qalbiin suma bira jira Hin irraanfatin adaraa Nagaa itti naf dhaami ilmaan biyyaa maraa Tokko osoo hin hafnee kan dubra dardaraa Yoo lubbuun jiraannee guyyaa tokko numa wal garra.
