1Critical Thinking Log 1

Today in class, we took a Keirsey Temperament Sorter and a Myers-Briggs Description

Test. These tests ask certain questions that will give you feedback on what kind of personality

you have. My four type preferences were, Introversion, Intuition, Thinking, And Judgment, thus

indicated by the test. Before the test we were asked to give a Self Assessment on what type

preferences we were. I find it ironic that the two indicators had exact opposite outcomes. I saw

myself completely different than the test did. I had to choose a best fit, so I decided on the test

results.

The type preferences were linked up with possible job interests. A few of my matched

jobs actually caught my attention. These jobs include, Manager, Lawyer, Engineer, and

Consultant. I did not find any careers on the list that I would not want to obtain. I found out that

I am skeptical, critical, independent, and determined. I can enhance these traits to succeed better

in the classroom setting. These tests helped define my personality.

When I think back to a time where I got an electronic that I needed guidance operating,

such as a new computer, I consider my process of learning to be very hands-on or be tutored by

another person. I have took tests in the past that have determined my learning style before, but

none of the tests involved questions like the test I took today. My end result was indeed

Kinesthetic, which means I am a hands-on learner. I like to practice a foreign task on my own.

My sense of learning style was correct, and I am pleased that I have an unquestionable final

outcome that determines my ways of learning.
