ASSIGNMENT QUESTION / SOALAN TUGASAN

You have noticed that a number of your students in your science class either have misconceptions or do not understand the following concepts which were discussed in their science lessons. The problematic concepts are:
(a)

How earthquakes occur How the moon-orbit phases are formed How several constellations can be observed

In about 2 -3 pages write an essay to explain what is meant by misconceptions and how they can be overcomed. 8 marks

(b)

Think of suitable models to explain how earthquake occurs and how the moon-orbit phases are formed. Use these models to explain both these phenomena to a group of students. Write a report on the suitability of the models based on students interview records. 12 Marks

(c)

Identify suitable teaching strategies that can be used to teach the occurance of constellations. Teach how constellations are formed to a group of students using a suitable teaching strategy. Write a reflection in about 3-4 pages on the suitability of the teaching method. 10 Marks TOTAL:30 MARKS
