Nitta Gelatin receives ISO 14001 certification for Environmental Management System Nitta Gelatin declares Q3 results Net Income Up 2.21%, Net Profit Up 5.74% Kochi, 20th January, 2010: Nitta Gelatin India Ltd. [NGIL], a leading global manufacturer of Gelatin and related products announced its financial results for the third quarter ended 31st December, 2009. NGIL recorded a net profit after tax of Rs. 6.45 crore and net income of Rs. 49.05 crore in the third quarter. Performance Highlights:

Net Income grew 2.21% (Rs. 1.06 crore) to Rs. 49.05 crore over the corresponding quarter of the previous year Net Profit grew 5.74% (Rs. 0.35 crore) to Rs. 6.45 crore over the corresponding quarter in the previous year Earnings Per Share is Rs. 7.67 as against Rs. 7.26 during the corresponding quarter in the previous year

Our pace of growth slowed a bit due to the global recessionary pressures but we have succeeded in securing better margins in this quarter..
