EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The aim of this report is to analyse how ISKCON - a worldwide religious movement was started and is now managed from the point of view of a manager. Through the case of ISKCON Juhu temple, we also take into account the difference and similarities between managing a spiritual organization and a profit making corporate

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY: I have collected all the information by help of the research methodology tools, i.e, primary datas well as the secondary datas. The primary data has been collected by Informal Interview Method The secondary methods of collection of datas are relevant books, many web sites of ISKCON. The list of the books and the web sites referred are mention in the bibliography LIMITATIONS Financial figures were not provided.

INTRODUCTION - The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), known colloquially as the Hare Krishna Movement, is a spiritual society. It recommends the chanting of the Holy Names: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare/ Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. A.C. BHAKTIVEDANTA ISKCON was a religious revolution carried out by One man who spread his spiritual vision among the materialistic Westerners by his exemplary leadership qualities like visionary, dedication, resourcefulness, motivation, etc. ISKCON IN WORLD Prabhupada started ISKCON in New York in 1966 and now it has more than 400 centers, including 60 farm communities, some aiming for self-sufficiency, 50 schools and 90 restaurants.

ISKCON IN INDIA - Despite facing many difficulties ISKCON is widely spread in India with around 40 temples across India, Mayapur, Bombay and Vrndavan being its one of the firsts.

ISKCON JUHU - Hare Krishna Land (ISKCON Juhu) is set upon four acres of prime land and a stone throw away from Juhu beach. A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, founder of ISKCON, inspired the construction of one of Indias most beautiful temple of Lord Krishna in Mumbai. The presiding Deities at the temple are Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai, Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari and Sri Sri Sita Rama Laxman Hanuman.The Deities were personally installed by His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Some of the activities undertaken by ISKCON Juhu are Guest house, Govinda reastaurant, book distribution, life membership,e tc. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY An informal interview of Brij Hari Prasad, the temple president was taken and information gained about the chain of command in the temple, the cost center philosophy, execution of plans and policies, etc.

ISKCON IS A CON? - After all the glory, even a big spiritual organization like ISKCON had developed cracks as it veered from the path that the divine guru envisioned. CONCLUSION - A spiritual organizations body is like a corporate but its soul is different.
