Up to $10,000 will be awarded to three winners. The Future Leadership Awards competition is open to Massachusetts high school seniors of Asian descent. (See application for details.) A $1,000 Scholarship will be awarded to a senior student in high school, who does not need to be in the upper 10% of the class, but is planning on attending an accredited school or college on a full-time basis after graduation. The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program wants to reward students who have succeeded both inside and outside of the classroomand who may not be able to attend college without financial assistance. It's a reward for what you've made of yourself and the difference you are making for others. The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program is offering: Up to $25,000 per year for 100 first-time freshman or existing college students, renewable up to four years and one additional year for those entering a qualified five-year engineering program. $2,000 one-time awards for an additional 1,000 students.

Shannon, in recognition of his years of dedicated service to the people of Massachusetts. See application for criteria. The Metropolitan Area Planning Council annually presents a scholarship award in memory of Charles W. Eliot, II. Mr. Eliot was an advocate of regional cooperation, and he was especially interested in land use planning as it affected open space protection, land management, and other ecological issues. This scholarship is open to any senior in a secondary school in the 101 city and town MAPC region, who is planning to further his/her education in these fields. A cash prize of at least $500 will be awarded in the form of a scholarship to the school of the recipient's choice. Joseph Valeriani Scholarship

Joseph V. Valeriani Scholarship 2012 Application The Joseph V. Valeriani Scholarship is given to Medford High School Seniors who best exemplify the legacy of Dr. Joseph V. Valeriani, former MHS teacher and past President of the Medford Historical Society. The award seeks students with a demonstrated interest in Medford history, an intellectual or hands-on interest in historic preservation and a desire to pursue the study of history in a college or university, or to apply construction or horticultural skills to the preservation of historic properties. This year, the Joseph V. Valeriani Scholarship Committee will award one $500 book gift certificate or $500 cash to the student with the winning essay

One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be donated to a senior at Medford High School planning to study full-time at an accredited two or Kathleen Fitzgibbons DeVeer and Richard S. DeVeer four-year school. Student must be from the Wellington-Glenwood (MHS '31) Scholarship area of Medford. One Scholarship in the amount of $300 will be awarded to a Laura Owens Fitzpatrick Memorial Scholarship for The graduating senior at MHS, must have a proven interest and talent in Dramatic Arts dramatic arts and have a grade point average of 2.5 or better. Applicants must be a Medford resident for the last twelve months or qualify by right of descent from the current active membership of the Veteran Assoc. of The Lawrence Light Guard of Medford. Students must demonstrate both leadership and scholastic standing, coupled Lawrence Light Guard Veteran Association Scholarship with a financial need for the scholarship.
Any high school student in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is eligible. The scholarship is not academically based, but is awarded on the basis of need, to a student who shows leadership qualities within their school. The selected recipients will receive annual grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to be used as specifically requested for school tuition, summer programs and other appropriate extracurricular activities. Students who are permanent residents of Massachusetts and are in the process of enrolling, or are currently enrolled, at an accredited institution of higher learning are encouraged to apply for a $2,000 scholarship. Such institutions include vocational schools, 2- or 4-year colleges or universities offering degrees in radio and television broadcasting.

2-$4,000 Scholarships, broken down to payments of $1,000 a year for up to four concurrent years of college, to a MHS or Medford Vocational Technical School seniors who continue their education after graduation. Students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or better, which ever is greater. Please see application for criteria. 2 - $2,000 Scholarships to catholic girls who have been a Medford resident for at least one year.
