BAHRON (bharsiah@ums.edu.my) Rationale for the inclusion of the course/module in the programme Understanding human behavior is critical in the field of business today since business organizations are dealing directly with the human personnel as well as the end customers / users. Therefore the subject will provide insight on human behavior at three level of analysis individual, group and organizational. This will give a comprehensive understanding on all the necessary elements of human behavior in organization.

Synopsis: This course will expose students to the human behavior in organizations. Organizational behavior is closely linked to human behavior, whether at individual, group or organizational level. The main goal of this course is to enable students (future managers) to understand organizational behavior and enable them to increase productivity, reduce negative effects on work and directly increase motivation and job satisfaction in an organization.

Assessment Methods and Types: The assessment for this course will be based on the following: Component Weight Tutorial assignments / cases 20% Mid term exam 20% Project paper 20% Final Exam 40% Total 100% All components of the above assessment are compulsory and must be completed before the stipulated deadlines.
