Teaching English : Lesson Plan Grade: 5th Topic : My rabbit and other animals!

! Lesson Aims : To develop students ability to listening-comprehension abilities To develop students speaking and reading skills

Objectives: Use correctly the new words and adjectives Improve the reading skills

Time: 50 min Skills involve : speaking, reading, writing, listening Aids: textbook, blackboard

Stages: Activity 1: Warm-up (10 min) Teachers activity: Enters the classroom, greets the students and asks them how they are, if there are any students missing. Teacher remembers the task for the day, and asks students to review it quickly to make sure there were no problems with solving it at home. Teacher corrects the mistakes, if any. Teacher writes down on the blackboard the lesson title and put on the blackboard the key-words for this lesson. Students activity : Answer the Teachers questions. Write down in their notebooks the title and the key-word of the lesson.

Activity 2: Listen and read Teachers activity : Reads the text and tasks the students to arrange pairs to act the roles in the text. Explains the students what are pets and wild animals. Put them to identify in the images from the blackboard the pets and the wild animals. Students activity : They read the text by roles and translate it. The students write in their notebooks the animals that are pets and those that are wild animals.

Activity 3: Consolidation Teachers activity: Writes down on the blackboard a column of different animals and activities that they can or that they cannot do. Ask Students to identify what activities these animals can do and also to make short sentences using: can and cannot. Students activities: Writing in their notebooks the animals and activities that the Teacher wrote on the blackboard. Perform the task required.

Activity 4: Feed-back Teachers activity: Gives Students exercises (crosswords) to identify the pets and the wild animals they early learned. Ask Students to write in their notebooks the names of the animals that they identify in the exercises. Make a short game between girls and boys. Each of them writes on the blackboard one of the animal that he / she identify. Sums up the answers the students give and name the winner group of the game. Students activity: Study the exercises that the Teacher give them and solve their task. Perform the game given.

Assigning the homework : Teacher asks Students to write exercise 7 and 9 on page 77 at home.
