Rubric for PSTs Student Teaching Portfolio

ORGANIZATION AND PRESENTATION OF STUDENT PORTFOLIO 1. Components include cover page (with name, title of unit, dates taught) table of contents, reference, list of appendices. 2. Organization follows the instructions for the portfolio. 3. Word processed; grammatically and mechanically correct 4. Neatness and creativity

5 (Good) All components are included and clearly marked.

3 (Fair) Some of the preliminary components are missing.

1 (Poor) Many of the components are missing.

Organization follows the instructions for the portfolio correctly and completely. Words processed, edited and obviously proofread. Presentation demonstrates neatness and creativity in all areas and pages of the portfolio Contents are all completely filed and submitted. Student portfolio is submitted on time.

Organization slightly follows the instructions for the portfolio. Words processed with few grammatical and mechanical errors. Presentation slightly demonstrates neatness and creativity to some extent. Some contents are missing and are disarranged. Student portfolio submitted no more than one day after the deadline.

Organization does not follow the instructions for the portfolio. Words processed but with many grammatical and mechanical errors. Presentation is neither neat nor creative.

Journal entry or reflection paper that includes the pre service teachers learning experiences in the classroom, his/her judgments about his/her performance and other insights affecting self beliefs.

Presents clear description of experiences that are considered worthwhile and helpful, explains judgments on personal strengths and weaknesses, and includes successful output and accomplishments.

Presents some examples of experiences, some explanations of strengths and weaknesses and includes some achievements.

Contains some examples of learning experiences with few explanations of personal strengths and weaknesses and statement of what has been achieved.

There is little evidence of reflections and insights learned very few details of experiences. Judgment of personal performance is very limited, with little or no attention paid to strengths and weaknesses of work.

There is an absence of evidence of reflection, no details of experiences and judgment of performance, without statement of strengths and weaknesses and achievements.
