The Birth number can be said to give insights related to the material side of life, while the Name number gives insights to the more spiritual side of our existence. All numbers have Karma but the karma that the 2 / 4 / 8 numbers vibrate, is more pronounced. Identifying the numbers of Karma Any number that adds up to a 2, 4 or 8 is said to be a number of Karma. Examples : 2, 4, 8, 11, 13, 17, 20, 22, 26, 29, 31, 35 and so on. For sake of easier communication, we shall henceforth refer to this set of numbers as the 2 / 4 / 8 numbers. The numbers of 2 carry the least karma, when compared to the 4s and 8s. A birth number 4 or a birth number 8 is said to have incarnated here (now) to clear their karmic debt from all previous incarnations in this lifetime, and therefore is said to enjoy the rewards in this life. The Number 4 Number 4 is the strongest link with the omnipotent (Uranus) and represents the 4 directions of space and power of the wind gods that were thought to rule the quarters of the Cosmos (the 4 cornerstones of heaven - Leo (Star Regulus), Scorpio (Antares), Pisces (Fomalhaut) and Taurus (Aldebaran). The Number 8 In Asian culture, number 8 is considered lucky (in Buddhism, Taoism and Japanese Shintoism). In astrology, the number 8 represents Capricorn and Scorpio. Also, they are associated with the numbers 8 and 0. They amplify your traits, both good and bad. Scorpio needs A LOT of time on their own, to discern who they really are. This is usually not possible unless they are leading a monastic life. Music lifts their Soul and frees their Spirit they are after all, poets of the Soul who use music to express (and distress) themselves. The number 8 is represented by an Octagon. It is also a Christian symbol, symbol of rebirth to eternal life. It is a mix between circle (heaven) and square (earth). Therefore, representing the rite of passage. These numbers are known as the numbers of karma, and are especially powerful as the date of birth, since that cannot be changed (short of dying and being re-born again). The life of a person born on the 4th or 8th of any given month seems to be extremely challenging or full of bad luck, especially in the first 30 years of life. This is also true of any person born on the 13th, 17th, 22nd, 26th or 31st since these numbers when further reduced, add up to a 4 or 8. For those born on aforementioned dates, it is presumed that they are here to clear or pay off karma that has long been held back and not paid, in previous incarnations and that they fully understand the importance of the karmic chain. The number 4 person will face similar trials as that of a number 8, but on a significantly less painful manner (if painful is the word to use). A 4 person should avoid vibrating a 4 or an 8. Although the number 15 adds up to a 6, there are some warnings that you must be aware of, if you are born under a number of Karma and intending to use this number. The number 8 and 15 combination A number 8 must at all cost, avoid a number 15 (although it adds up to a 6 and is supposed to be an ante-dote). A union between the 4 and 8 A number 8 and a number 4 tend to attract each other, and usually this union does not last. The number 4, being a saviour to the 8, in the union, saving the 8 from doing something stupid. On a material and earthly platform, this combination cannot be called lucky or good although at least one party is highly devoted to the other. When it comes to marriage between persons born on the 4th or 8th or any of its compound numbers, the union is fraught with quarrels and there is a possibility that it may end in a divorce. Consciously choosing to use the 8 Now, if the fate of a person born on the 8th is so full of troubles and bad luck, will anything good at all come out of it, if the 8 person chooses knowingly to continue to vibrate an 8? There are some who would prefer to grab the bull by the horns and their reward is increased wealth, increased responsibility and increased stress. Note however, that should you choose this path, I strongly encourage that you avoid the number 4 it is the combination of the number 4 and 8 that seems to delay success and that seems to exacerbate the troubles. Changing your vibrations by choosing a name In the course of my learning, I have been asked this question many times. My understanding is that every time your name is called, or every time you put your name out there, you are attracting the energy that the name vibrates. If the vibration is good, you attract good things. In my opinion only, a change in name is but the start. The next step is to change your mindset and thus changing your personality (or rather, changing the way you approach problem-solving and life). One without the other, is pointless. A change in name alone, is not going to be of much help. Choosing a name Choosing a name, is a personal thing. Some have asked me for help in choosing a name that would be suitable for them. Im afraid to say, it doesnt work that way. Firstly, it is YOUR name. So YOU have to choose it. Secondly, follow Spirit (your heart, your soul). Thirdly, a name that has an end count of 3 or 6 is favored by many the numbers of luck, love and abundance.
