The main aim of the project is to promote the art and cultural symbols as national heritage Europe wide. The symbols found in the caves in different countries are part of the cultural heritage. The participants will examine the common history they have, through sharing they'll learn for each other cultures, about the cave-art and improve their intercultural competences. The main objectives of our project are to show and gain the knowlegde and the understanding of importance of the mutual historical heritage of our countries. To observe and to accept its value. This YE will provide to the participants possibility to learn how to protect it and promote it among others and will raise the awearness about intercultural dialog through the art, dance and music, as tools better to connect and understand each other and the cultiral differences. The working methods will be discussions, lectures and interactive games. Because of prejudices and lack of discussions, as well as of not having mutual understanding among all of us, well provide the participants a non-formal environment for developing their knowledge and the information gained in this youth exchange will give them an advantage during organising future projects. In addition, we value intercultural diversity and we want to establish even stronger connection with all the participating countries. The partners of this youth exchange are countries members of the European Union, as well as SEE countries (Turkey, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Albania and Latvia ).The total number of the participating countries is 6 (six) and the total duration of the activities is 9 working days, excluding the traveling days. The youth exchange will take place in Samanda-Hatay, Turkey. Target group are young people aged 18- 25, in total 30 young people and 6 leaders. They said 10 -15 lines so it should be enough! I think it is enough ,too since it contains everything regarding the project.

Objectives and priorities:

Youth in Action Programme Sub-Action 3.1 - Youth Exchanges

(2011) Page 8

Please explain the context, the origin and the objectives of your project and in which way it meets the objectives and the priorities of the Youth in Action Programme.

Despite some opposite views toward the importance of voluntarism, volunteerism has been perceived as a requirement of modern time and human. Since this important concept arises as the value from humanity, we want to address this essential concept in European Youth within the priorities defined by the Youth in Action framework. For this purpose, our major priorities are European Citizenship intercultural exchange about the national heritage and participation of young people in active and democratic life and conserving the national identity. Voluntarism encourages empathy among people, resulting of understanding each other well. In order to develop awareness and create actions toward this priority, for our project, we have several objectives:

Promoting young peoples active citizenship in general, especially by encouraging and help them to understand that they are the future of their states and their states future will be shaped by their attitudes and behaviors. Citizenship concept is the most vital concept to understand the importance of voluntarism into the society, because it requires responsibility toward citizens as volunteers. European citizenship takes a big role in this case to realize that this is a responsibility for being a part of Europe. Since we have already had lots of experiences in the field of youth in action programmes, we have the knowledge that we may contribute both ourselves and to the young people around us as social and future area. Developing solidarity and promoting tolerance among young people are our significant objectives for this project. Because it is a fact that without tolerance and solidarity, there will be no voluntarism. With this project, named ROOT CALLS, we will have opportunity to understand better the other cultures and to have an intercultural learning. It is certain that there were numberous of successful projects; however we did not observe any kind of project in which contains the importance of our heritage coming from our roots. On the other hand, the young people as dynamic part of the community shall make out the rest of community understand the messages from our past. Thus, we will support them by informing regarding caving / art-caving through an expert. While supporting the active roles of the young people, we will emphasize the climate and environmental problems in Samandag area as one of the caretta caretta turtles living area. Thus, the young people shall be informed and be aware towards the environment issues. Furthermore we will promote European cooperation in the youth field, whereby European youth can realize each other with solidarity. In the European Year for Volunteering, 2011, we believe that understand the necessities of people with fewer opportunities, and try to help them with volunteer services will be more beneficial for their personal development. Thus, Our

project is also formed on the participation of the young people with fewer opportunities. It fits for purpose of participation of young people who have not had any opportunity to participate in a youth in action programme and/or have not had any international experience.
This project will have participants from six European and SEE countries, which means that this project will provide foster mutual understanding among young people from different cultures. This objective lets the participants see the big picture; mutual understanding from different sides (different cultures, traditions, communities). The reasons of organizations seeking for volunteers, and the reasons of joining voluntary actions. In accordance with participation of the young people , our project shall provide the supporting of individual knowledge, talent, confidence and collective working abiliy of the young people during the said participation. Thus, the young people shall be more efficient in the community and more conformist. In terms of the cultural diversity, our participations will come from 6 different countries and our project contains methods that these young people shall realize commun activities. These commun activities will not be only in practise, also will be at preparatory period and conclusion periods. Thus, our project is formed of the commun activities of young people. The making out of commun activities shall support with intercultural learning activities in practice. Intercultural Learning activities ground on the different cultures. Consequently, the experiences and knowledge of the young people regarding cultural diversity shall be increased in positif way. During intercultural learning activities and discussions , the continuous activated of the participants and brain storm shall be provided.

In addition, this project promotes European cooperation in the youth field by several activities. We will provide this cooperation with some discussions and non-formal learning methods, like outdoor activities together, presentations, games, etc... Through workshops we want to exchange ideas, opinions, working skills and also improving them. Being an international project providing the participation from different nations with different cultures, we will become aware of the similarities and differences between our work methodologies of youth activities.

As being a youth exchange programme, our major priority is participation of young people. Because making young people aware that developing in human rights and fulfillment of necessities

Please indicate: how you found the other promoter(s), how you established an efficient partnership, and how the partner(s) will cooperate and be involved in the project, the theme(s) of the project, the activities foreseen throughout the project for its implementation, including preparatory and evaluation activities. the practical arrangements for the implementation of the Activity (food, lodging, transports, etc.) Please attach an estimated daily timetable of the planned Activity.

We (the partners for this YE), have meet during a TC in Shabac, Serbia, 2011. Weve found many things in common, we were eager and very high motivated to work together, and weve established an project idea, which raise itself in a applyable and doable project proposal. The theme of our YE is Cultural Diversity. We came up with the title of the project, in a very interesting way... We had a brainstorming and the several titles we came up with, we decided to cut them and join them into one, which will represent the whole idea about the YE. The ROOT CALLS youth exchange will provide many opportunities for the young people involved in it, to see and feel the back ground of our ancestors and to learn from it. The whole idea of this YE is to discover, present (first prepare), and share the richness of our national heritage we all have in our own countries. Since we all have caves in our countries, and in some of them we have cave art from different periods of the devolping of the human kind, we decided to do the following activities: The preparatory activities: before coming to the host country of the YE, Turkey, each partner is obligated to do some field research. That means that, we have to go and visit some of our caves, take some photo of the cave art, find the legend behind all that, prepare a power point presentation, and bring it with us to Turkey. By doing that, the young people, involved in it, will have the opportunity to get to know their own landscape, their soruondings, but most importantly, they will have the opportunity to learn more about the past periods of the human development, through various ways of geting the information (reading, asking the museum curators, the cave guides, the photo and power point as media tools etc...). During the youth exchange: devided in 2 (two) days, the partners will have the opportunity to present their findings and through their exploration field work the other participant will leran and upgrade their knowledge on the theme, about 6 other countries heritage. The 6 (six) partner countries will be devided in to two (random) groups by 3 (three) countries, in 2(two) days.

This project is written in English because of the very strong cooperation between the fifth promoters. We wanted to translate it, but we realize that if we will make it in Turkish, some parts (because of the translation) will loose the meaning. All the partners involved have experiences in youth projects (YiA, EYF, local projects and other), thoughts and rich knowledge about the subject of the exchange in the talks about final form and activities planned in the project. The communication is now running through different canals on the internet and we are all gaining some important experiences and knowledge. Each promoter was and it will be involved in every step of the project. In the very beginning we did a hard but pleasant job for making the activities, writing the program, the project, discussing about the topic, searching materials about the subject of the project and we all share with the others and put all together. In the second step (after the project will be approved) we continue our work for making the youth team, prepare and build the team, changing information, making some reports, remarks about how the things are going, make some changes if the youth teams want to, if there are some problems we will fix them, and so on about organizing stuff. In the nest step (during the YE) each promoter have specific task to do, to prepare, things to come with (activities, games, intercultural night, etc), the leaders will lead the workshops and activities (see the program), etc. In the last step of the project (after activities week) all promoters will help for making the final report, will also make an evaluation in the national group after returning home, will split and dissimulate the results in the organization and local community, we will work for new projects on all levels and keep a strong cooperation. All the tasks and responsibilities are very good balanced all promoters, easy to follow for, and in a manner that we can easily follow the work and quantify the results. We have a very good communication via Skype (voice call) but also we write e-mails weekly. Moreover, we all believe that we have the confidence and will to create great project. In a very practical way, regarding with the structure that all promoters agree, we have 3 stages of the projects: first part when we put all together and write the project, the second part when the project is approved and we start the preparation work and this part include also the 9 days of activities and the third part when we go back home, we spread all the information as much as we can and we also make the final report. Starting with the first is already done. Because of the good collaboration, good communication and our

Project's content and methodology:

Youth in Action Programme Sub-Action 3.1 - Youth Exchanges

(2011) Page 15

Please describe: how the main theme reflects the interests and needs of participants, the working methods, how the planned activities and working methods will contribute to the process of non-formal learning and to the promotion of social and personal development of young people involved in the project, how the young people will be actively involved in each stage of the project.

First of all, the project programme has a lot of detailed information about the content. Before we move forward, we want to provide more information about some activities which are essential within the programme; Structure of the Cultural Nights: We have participated in several Youth in Action projects. In every project, we have experienced different intercultural learning activities. In order to maximize effectiveness of such intercultural learning activities, we have decided to apply the strategy as follows: o Ten minutes language learning; each country will teach the other countries ten basic words from its language like hello, good morning, good bye and so forth o National Anthem of the country and its explanation (five minutes), o Fifteen minutes presentation of basic demographic information about country such as population, flag, capital city and etc o Fifteen minutes music session from the country, o Fifteen minutes for learning and dancing the folk dances of that country Through this one-hour activity, participants will be experienced about that country. Iceberg Method: Before starting the tour of the city, the facilitator will discuss with the participants the mental process to construct a cultural image. After that, the participants will create some groups and will prepare a big poster representing an iceberg. Like an iceberg that has a part above the surface of the water and a part under the water, we can also imagine that the culture in a Country has some immediately evident aspects and other aspects those are to be searched with attention and which go underneath the appearances. With this concept in mind, each group will start the tour of the city. During the tour the participants have to take several photos that can catch both the evident aspects of Turkish culture and the hidden ones. Returning in the meeting each group will print the photos and will fix them on the iceberg, so some photos will take place above the surface of water and some others under the surface. Finally each group will explain the two types of aspects of Turkish culture discovered during the tour. Group Building: As we know well that one of the important thing is working in dividing groups and being-feeling the group during all the project. Therefore, in the first days of the project after the official meetings with each other, we will organize the games as a non-formal education to make the participants be a group. The participants shall be in interactive relation with the other countries and cultures at the group workshops. Thus, our project shall realize the method of learning from each other. Additionally, the young people will improve their own individual evolution by developing their team collaboration abilities. Reflection Times: During each reflection and evaluation time, the group will be divided into four. Each group will be moderated by a facilitator. Group will share their ideas about the following questions:

How can you describe your overall feeling until now?

How can you describe your learning? What did you learn? How would you transfer what you learnt today to your youth activities, your life, and so on? Is there any suggestions regarding the technical issues, food and any other things? Each moderator will let each participant share his/her ideas on each question. Afterwards, moderators will come together and will discuss about their meetings. If there is an urgent situation to be fixed, moderators will take an immediate action. On the other hand, the host organization shall be always interested in the participants suggestions/ complaints in order to fix them at all. Participants will be the members of the organizations which make voluntary actions in their countries. Moreover, participants want to attend the project on their will. We believe that participants will have a certain level of sensitivity toward volunteerism. Therefore, the project topic is a part of their current and prospective lives. In that sense, we believe that the topic will get the attention and motivation of the participants.

Youth in Action Programme Sub-Action 3.1 - Youth Exchanges

(2011) Page 16

We believe that the best way to learn and achieve something is to do it, so we decided to make active learning based activities as much possible as. It is a very easy and useful method of learning. The activities are very gripping and amusing. These are like creativity; discover new things, team spirit, different talents and so on. Activities will be charming for participants and also non-formal education techniques will be used. Youth learn more easily from their peers whose brains have the same comprehension skills. The project wants to make the time as a nice experience for all youngsters. The activities are in such a manner to be attractive for the participants, also a way to facilitate the nonformal education. All the activities will use the non formal education as games, energizers, learning by doing, brainstorming, role and simulation games, free group discussions, work groups, etc. For this we will use Salto materials and the working room will also be in a non-formal way (participants can stay on the floor, chairs in a circle, informal speech between participants and with the leaders, etc) With the active learning strategies, participants will always be active both physical and mentally. By this way, we will enable to improve and activate their brains and bodies. They will also be informed about the themes of project and they will learn about the state of being active. So, it will affect their individual developments positively. It will also provide to social development setting where they will learn about different cultures. They will be friends where project will provide an opportunity to keep in touch with different cultures constantly. They will take successful steps about learning among cultures and they will improve themselves individually and socially. Participants will make discussions on volunteerism related issues together. Furthermore, project will show us that we can overcome challenges together with voluntary action and could have better future. This will provide solidarity among us. Educational games are the other activities of non-formal education. The purpose of these games to strengthen mutual understanding in group, by this way increase group. Same as the workshops, the games are another important object of the non-formal education. Their purpose is to foster mutual understanding inside the group, thus strengthening cohesion both inside the groups and between them. Through games the participants will also have the chance to learn more about themselves and each other, and also discover their points of common interests. Moreover, the games integrate people to each other. These games assemble our youngsters, who are from different cultures, different religions and different nations, and games will ensure that they will learn from each other and they will destroy their prejudices on each other. We will realize the differences and similarities between working methodologies in youth activities in a context of multinational multicultural settings. Furthermore, we want to encourage youth to be interested in society and problems which we come across every day. Within the whole project, we will be making an effort to create a peaceful society. To this end, we will be asking the youngsters to share their ideas and to make suggestions. By the international feature of this project, we want to encourage the clemency among nations and also especially among youngsters. It is crucial to see mutual understanding among people for all of us. By this way, we can keep the cultures alive where we can take advantage of this fruitful situation on earth. Among all these things, the other important aim is to collaborate for better Europe. We should notice that we are EU citizens and we should think about this subject and we should ask ourselves that what we can do more than to enhancement other's life besides our lives. During the activities, participants will have the chance to discuss about Human Rights. We will reveal that when it is about human, regardless of nationalities, we must focus on volunteerism which is essential to keep fundamental human rights on earth. People are different so we will not try to impose our beliefs, we will learn to understand others' beliefs and we will learn to show respect them. Another objective of this project is to learn things as much as possible from each other and to teach them the people who are not from our society. By this means we want to increase society consciousness about our themes. We want to provide respect to differences. From this perspective, another priority is that getting acquisitions about others' cultures. It is also important for tolerance about religion beliefs and different ethnic minorities. Moreover, it is important for breaking prejudices among people, generating friendships among different cultures.

Due to the participation of six countries, the youngsters will also have the chance to improve their language skills even if this is not the main purpose of the project. Besides not using the native language, the participants have also the chance to discover the others languages and why not, even learning few. All the activities will be held in English. We asked our group leaders to form their group as much as possible with a gender balance. We want to give equal opportunities for male and also for female. It is the group leaders job to find their participants trying to preserve the balance. With gender balance, we want to show everyone that we are not only supporting social inclusion but also realizing it too.
The learning dimension (i.e. acquisition/improvement of competences) is an essential component of any project supported by the Youth in Action programme. The programme puts in place a process of recognition of competences gained through participation to Youth in Action projects which is called Youthpass (please visit www.youthpass.eu), With this regard, please describe: competences (i.e. knowledge, skills and attitudes) which might be acquired by the participants in your project planned measures aimed at providing a place for reflection and assessment of the learning experience in your project

Youth in Action programme gives the opportunities to every youngster that wants to get involve in these types of projects. As a participant you have the chance to gain certain abilities and competences. We do not want to transform this project into something similar to a compulsory school subject but to give them the opportunities to learn and not through teaching by book. The youngsters involved in this project are participating due to their will and not obliged. Because of this they will attend the entire activities voluntary. All the activities are in such a manner to contribute to the participants personal development and their social inclusion. In other words, we will be organization who is learning in project with an active brain and body. The activities as preparation meetings will encourage youngsters to be more confident, to speak in front of a small group, to explain a concept or an idea and to sustain it. The tasks that they have to do before the project starts will make youngsters more responsible and will teach them how to solve different tasks in certain time, to face up with different problems, to solve things and to present a work done by them, etc. During the projects we will have activities from where the youngsters can learn things like speaking in another language (during all activities), present their work prepared at home or prepared during activities, work with brainstorming methods, face up with conflict situation so they have to learn to respect the others and listen them, their skills to organize an event by organizing the intercultural night, more information about YiA program and how can they develop a idea into a project, new things about European cultures and the present cultures, etc. At the end of the project we will give to all participants YouthPass certificates where we will write their competence that they gain during the project as communication in foreign language, learning to learn, social and civic competences, cultural awareness and expression, etc.

Intercultural dimension:

(2011) Page 19

Please indicate if and how your project reflects the following characteristics: the project increases young people's positive awareness of other cultures, the project supports dialogue and intercultural encounters with other young people from different backgrounds and cultures, the project helps to prevent and combat prejudice, racism and all attitudes leading to exclusion, the project develops sense of tolerance and understanding of diversity.

This project will provide opportunities for the participants of the exchange to learn about other cultures and to present their own culture. Our understanding is that young people from different countries do not have a lot of knowledge about other European countries, especially about prevailing relationship norms and values, which are deeply rooted and often invisible part of different cultures. In most of the cases their attitudes towards different cultures are created by big influences of movies and television making them burdened with lots of prejudices. That is why we feel that it is very important to introduce participants with different cultural backgrounds, but the point that will be the connection part of the whole project, will be the theme and its background, which we all have and cherish. In this project we will gather youngsters from different European countries and provide them with a pleasant atmosphere for dialog and interaction. In this way they can share their experiences and feelings about their own and other cultures. The program of the project is designed in order to increase the participants knowledge about these more invisible characteristics of other cultures, to discuss differences, to find common grounds and also to promote tolerance and positive attitude towards differences. But also, in the longer run, through join activities like simulation games, role plays and discussions the participants will also get firsthand experience of diversities, such as, food diversity, various national dances, the differences among different languages spoken in our countries etc. We hope the participants will become more aware of the cultural differences and learn to be tolerant, understanding and not to constitute attitudes with lack of information, especially towards the cultural heritage, which belong to all of us, no matter where are we coming from. Our belief is that the root of all prejudices and racism is lack of information. Through the call of our roots the participants of this project will share information about their culture among each other. Thats why, we believe that our idea is a very strong one, and very important, throughout the world. The genuine recognition of, and respect for, diversity and the dynamics of cultural traditions, ethnic and cultural identities religious, beliefs, artistic, literary and socio-economic ideas and concepts and that the harmonious interaction of persons and groups with varied identities is essential for achieving social cohesion. The fact that social cohesion requires framework of individuals within the societies will be our main notion, this fact will help the participants to understand well the necessity of volunteerism in our life and its benefits for both individuals and societys future. In addition, understanding the reality of the necessity of volunteerism is not only in several organizations, countries; this issue is globally significant and every society should focus on this importance, especially developed countries as European. With the statements above, we are reading our projects aims, and now we will give the ways that make proof these aims. The project will be realized among six countries, six different cultures, histories, identities and approaches. Each participant will reflect his/her environment on the themes and at the same time s/he will show his/her background. Hence, this project will give them another opportunity to meet with different people from various backgrounds. This project wants to involve countries for having a more culturally diverse setting. Besides working in the youth field, we also want our participants to find out few things about others culture and traditions. Each country will have to present their traditions and culture and also cook something from their cuisine. Everybody might have prejudice for the different cultures whereas with the intercultural dialogues, we can prevent ethnic, religious, linguistic and cultural discrimination which enables us to move forward together to deal with our different identities constructively and democratically on the dynamics basis of shared universal values. Cultural diversity characterized Europes rich heritage and that awareness of volunteerism was the guarantee of an open society led to framework convention for the volunteering to organizations. With the project, participants will see that there is no difference between people who need help and the people who helps them. This message will send to each participant. Our identities, is not what makes us unique. Identity is a complex and contextually sensitive combination of elements. As our projects activities, the using methodology require the participants work all together. Since the project contains participants from 6 countries, it makes the project more intercultural and highlight the multiculturalism. This different culture, backgrounds, lifestyles and religious shall present such a big cultural diversity. In accordance with the diversity, the prejudices coming from misunderstanding and etc. shall be disappeared The commune works shall provide the increasement of the young peoples positive awareness regarding other cultures. On the other hand, the presentation of the outdoor and natural activities as per to other countries and cultures understanding shall provide important contribution to the intercultural dimension. By the way, we believe that we contribute to the struggle to the racism in terms of Europe.

European dimension:
Please indicate if and how your project reflects the following characteristics; tick box(es) and then describe: the project fosters young peoples sense of European citizenship and helps them to understand their role as part of the present and future of Europe; the project reflects a common concern for European society, such as racism, xenophobia and anti-semitism, drug abuse; the projects theme is linked to EU topics, such as EU enlargement, the roles and activities of the European institutions, the EU's action in matters affecting young people; the project debates the founding principles of the EU, i.e. principles of liberty, democracy, respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, and the rule of law.

The exchanges topic is build in the role that young people have in society as active citizens, how they can contribute more in society where they live, how they can bring development initiating social action to bring social change in the society, by learning more about the partner countries different cultures, languages, food, dances, songs etc. Also, through workshops that we have planned during the exchange, a special stress will be given to the Cultural Diversity in our countries and what young people understand by it. We will have in activity young people coming from SEE countries and member countries of the European Union. The Cultural Diversity in Europe is challenging theme, and so, by knowing that we believe with our Youth Exchange, we can move the mutual understanding a bit more towards us, and by it we can achieve more in the process of learning and upgrading ourselves. At the same time the project promotes European values with its activities, namely the respect for and understanding other cultures. This will be expressed and practised during lectures and discussions during the topics of the project. Each day we will have different topic to discuss about, and by that, different opinions can be heard. Comparing our habits and opinions of others on that matter will follow, which will help participants to understand other nations and break stereotypes about them. Promoting the cultural diversity, the mutual understanding, the tolerance and equality at all levels of society and respecting our own, yet sometimes mutually unintelligible, values, the developing acceptance and understanding of the wealth of the common European culture and traditions, as well as importance of heritage protection are the issues of the European dimension, we will try to reflect during our project.

Youth in Action Programme Sub-Action 3.1 - Youth Exchanges

(2011) Page 22

First of all, the European dimension of the project is given by the 30 young participants from 6 UE and SEE countries and than by the theme of the project. All the activities will be presented in a context of European level and than by country, so the youngsters will have a European dimension of the subjects and this also gives to the project a European dimension. To stand up for their future, the participants will have to have the needed knowledge about the past. We will look through growth of European idea and development of fundamental human rights which will help young people to understand that the way to equality and freedom is very hard and that the voluntarism is mainly the key tool for raising the life standard. It will also be needed in future Europe, which is facing numerous problems with aging of population, integration of immigrants, global warming and natural disasters, growing social differences and other urgent problems. Understanding that through voluntarism we face those problems and not turn away from them will help youth to more actively join the life and processes in society. Everyone feels the problems of society, but young people rarely decide for action the project will give them a message that the action is not only needed but obligatory for anyone who cares for his and common European future! By our activities planned we will promote the basic principles and values of European union aim towards equality, liberty and respecting the human rights. The youngsters will be the carrier of this changes and it is up to European projects like this one to arm them with knowledge and courage to carry them out. Showing those good examples of different voluntary projects will also be a part of the project and will make youth understand that people are already changing the world through voluntary work and that it is frequently vitally important for different groups within society. We will raise the awareness that everybody is responsible for the world we live in and that we cannot hide behind collective guilt will help the youth to stand up for common values of European citizenship. The project will also show and underline the European citizenship itself as a value. The project will also promote different European possibilities for youngsters to develop a project are for personal development, the free circulation in the UE, other European cultures, traditions, European values, national identity in a European context, the responsibilities and rights as an European citizen, etc. On the other hand, the participants will be processed to think about more our roots ; so our past. Even before starting the project, the participants shall be obliged to present a presentation related to their country and their root/cave as preparatory presentation. Thus, young people will necessarily be adapted to European context. Besides, our project will have a structure that the knowledge and sensibilty of young people regarding European issues will be increased.

Impact, multiplying effect and follow-up:

Please explain the expected impact on young participants and the local communities involved in the project and which measures are foreseen to attain this impact. Furthermore, please describe the planned measures aimed at recognizing and validating the learning outcomes of participants (e.g. Youthpass Certificate) and promoters involved in the project. In a long term perspective, please describe how you plan to achieve a multiplying effect and sustainable impact. Please also explain how you plan to follow up this Youth Exchange (e.g. new projects within the framework of the Youth in Action Programme, continuous contact with the promoter(s), etc.)?

The expected impact will be the participants tolerance towards other cultures and protecting the in common heritage that belongs to every one of us. The knowledge about it will be increased as a result of communication and joint activities with people from different nations. Participants will be better informed about how actively to promote the mutual cultural understanding and the cultural diversity of the others. Also, to share experience with the help of discussions and seminars on these topics. Also we will try to show them how to break stereotypes and barriers through intercultural dialogue, as well as how to access concept of intercultural learning and culture (in general) and to deliver and spread the information about the Youth in Action program and its benefits for the young people. Participants of the project will develop personal and group work skills through various tasks and presentations. The direct impact will be visible to them when they get back to their everyday life. Indirect beneficiaries will be communities when these young people live because they will be promoter of common values and initiators of community action. The results of the Exchange will be put in the websites of each organisation and in this way young people from our local community will have opportunity to learn more. In reference to one of the youth exchanges long-term objectives, new projects within the framework of the Youth in Action Program will be developed, because new ideas will be born during the project it self. During the exchange we will have he opportunity to work on the future projects ideas, and there is written in the schedule, that during the last 2 days we will work more on it, so the cooperation and the good spirit among us, as partners, will continue. Also the cooperation with the projects partners will be continued especially with the aim of working together on future initiatives. The impact of the project will be on different levels. On the first level and a very strong impact will be on the 20 youngsters participants, directly involved in the project. The impact will be made by the activities and their involving in all the steps of the project. They will gain and improve some personal skills, will live for few days in a different habitat, a multi cultural one, will make some new experience, will work together, they will face up with different situations, will have different tasks to do, responsibility, etc. All this will have a positive impact to the participants on long term. The activities undertaken to have this impact is active involving of the youngsters in all steps of the project, the support of the leaders, the activities proposed in the program and the evaluation process to see the results. The second level of impact will be on the youngsters involved indirect in the project and to local community. To the local community we plan to have an impact on short term and long term. The short term will be during the project we may separate as 2 impacts. When we will have activities in the community , Turkish participants shall be certainly involved these activities. Even as a host organization Turkish team has lots of experiences, as we mentioned before, we will promote the young people with fewer opportunities. It means that this project shall be first for some of Turkish young participants. In terms of community as short term, local people will try to understand what is going on and try to involve and come in our group since the place where participants will stay ; is a small town in the South of Turkiye. Even Samandag is a touristical place, local people will face with different cultures and countries. The long term will be follow up projects at local level. Because local people will ask regarding YIA,,YE programmes and think about young peoples activities, success in the community. And also involving the community in other projects, to me more active and involved in such actions. The activities undertaken to achieve this impact in the local community and youngsters is direct involvement of the community/youngsters, face to face meeting with the participants, outdoor activities in the community during the program, the presentation of the result from the end of the program, by promoting the project in the community, etc.

Local media will be involved during and after the end of our project. It is important because of the locals. By this they will know that this exchange is taking place in their city and country. This will ensure that more people will be informed about the possibilities of the Youth in Action Program, especially those young people who are motivated and eager to find out what the Youth in Action Program is and what it offers to the young people of Europe. During the museum visit and the cave site visit, we, the participants will be dressed up in the printed T-shirts, where all the logos of the YiAP and the title of the YE will be seen. Also, we have planed a hole day of the schedule of the Exchange, where we will discuss about the Youth in Action Programs actions, explain them in details, share our own personal experience and give space for questions from the participants who are not that well informed about the possibilities of the YiAP. Our Youth Exchange will be promoted on the partner organizations web sites. All the logos of the Youth in Action Program will be used to be put and shown on every document used during the Youth Exchange itself.
To assure the visibility of the project we planed different actions:

We will give announcements in the local newspapers, in order to make the community aware of the project and also to inform the young people about the possibility of their participation. The local magazine will come and we will make an interview with each countrys representative. Since we will visit the Major in Samandag and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we will have the opportunity to become popular in local newspaper. Local media will be interested in young participants during their visit . During all the project, we will hang our banner in front of the our pension to draw attention of the local people. We will make posters and flyers to promote the project . All the partners involved will publish on their website details about the project. On our website we will promote the project. We will promote the project in local media, at regional level and on country level by youth group and other groups, youth websites, facebook, etc. A facebook page will be created and its visibility will be seen by public. All material outcomes, pictures and videos of the project, will be published on the page. Contact information and forums will be included on this web site and also will be provided through continuous communication. Promotional materials such as t-shorts, pens, folders, etc. Moreover, the existence of such a Youth project, process, writing, implementation and evaluation in our surrounding area as well as the environment, including our friends and the ones away from us, we will inform everyone over the internet. Another expression to say it, at every chance the Youth Program will be introduced and the big support that we have will be brought out. On all our materials we will use the logo of the EU flag and YiA program and we will specify very clear the financial support of the EC (using the mandatory text). By this, people will see the real support of the EC and the importance of it. Also to promote the program and to add value of it, we will present the YiA programe to the participants during the program and during the final presentation for the local community and guests (local media, other NGOs, authorities, etc.) A short presentation will be done also on the facebook page that we will create it. The added value will be given also by the results of this project: the youth participation and active involvement, the movie, the dissemination of the results, during the program in discussions with youngsters, by promoting the project, the impact on the participants and local community, the process of non formal education and YouthPass certificates that each participant will get, future projects, active involving of new organization to take part in projects financed by the program, etc.

Dissemination and exploitation of results:

Please give a detailed description of standard measures planned in view to disseminate and exploit the results of the project. (For inspiration, please see Part B, Action 1.1, How to develop a good project? of the Programme Guide)

The main purpose of the project, in line with our thoughts determine a subject whether we get concrete information about the subject and we make our voice heard to the people. We have prepared the social aspects of the project has to be impressive and memorable. We'll finish the project in the given time interval. In addition, project monitoring and evaluation to be followed during the project, as should also continue after the project. These evaluations are managed what the participants will take home as their gains and at the end of the project provides themselves. Besides, during the project presentations, the resulting concrete products, our experience and creative ideas in the future will bring even more sounds. At the end of the project, we will communicate with all participants in the project which will be setting up a network. Established friendships with the participants will not be forgotten and always be to exchange information where new projects will be realized in the future. With the success of the project, we will be coming to a better location and we will have also increased our support for the European Unions projects. The main results of this projects are:

A facebook page with all the information from the project (videos, photos, materials, links, YiA info, etc.); Even establishing a blog for future projects; for information exchange in any area

posters and flyers for promoting the entire projects; Promoting materials for the participants (a folder with a CD, pen, informations) - 6 meetings organized by each promoter after returning home, in the organization with local youth and members. - Follow-up projects. At least two international project will start from this project and other on local level. Dissemination of project results is the most important point for the project. Dissemination of the project is crucial, so it can keep the creativity of the participants. From every culture of the people involved in projects who will bring out the richness of the project. Moreover, with this wealth, creative ideas may emerge. In the future to sustain this project, the participants would prefer not to break the relations between participants and are expected to be in constant exchange of information. Also, during the program to resolve issues that will attempt to establish a good dialogue among all the participants. We are planning to present the project with related videos and presentation to the high schools of the area. In this way we will show the result of our project, we will give the opportunity to think about volunteerism and we will promote Youth in Action Program To continue our work, we already start planning a following project related to traditions and stopping their fading away. The values transmitted through traditions and customs are important in preserving them. This projects aim is to bring youngsters together, sharing their traditions with each other and also learn new things about different cultures. We want to discover the similarities and differences between our countries. Besides, we want to extend this topic to volunteerism. We want to create new projects on extension of volunteerism toward protecting and promoting cultural heritages and values. Through this exchange we want to strengthen the connection between countries and their citizens. Nowadays young people tend more to forget about the treasures that our cultures contain and let other values to take their places. The best way to achieve new information is by participating and involving directly in these types of activities. Our project envisages both material and individual results; and social and communal results. These result shall reflect to wide region such as that the participants will organize some local activities in their country by using their talent, knowledge, gain in practice. They may organize some natural or art activities in local. By the way, since the partner organizations shall be in contact, each organization/ participant will promote these kind of activities through internet( facebook, blog , websites).

Yes

No

If so, please describe them , give additional information on the target group and include a timetable of your planned activities.

I DONT KNOW IF YOU PLAN SOMETHING SO IF YOU DO PLEASE WRITE IF NOT MARK THE NO BOX! I DONT HAVE ANY PLAN ; BECAUSE ACTUALLY WE TALKED ABOUT AFTER PROJECT SUCH AS WEBSITE, FACEBOOK AND THAT WE WILL BE IN CONTACT FOR FUTURE PROJECTS. Inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities:
Does your project involve young people with fewer opportunities (facing situations that make their inclusion in society more difficult, see main situations/obstacles identified herebelow) and/or special needs (mobility problems, health care, etc.)? If so, please describe and motivate.

YES, we will involve youngsters with less opportunity in this project since it is a priority for us and we always use and promote in our projects people with fewer opportunities. Directly involved will be at least 6 participants, one from each country. This is a task that each organization has to do it, to have at least one participant with less opportunity. Because we think that one of the aim of the YE is spreading as much as possible. We know that each young person has not same opportunity, lifestyle or are not in same financial situation. It is sure that everybody is equal; however we as a new generation, we have to provide the equality even between nonequal young persons by supporting them involve the projects. Thus, we will break the prejudices between each person by giving a chance to the young people with fewer opportunities. As a consequence, We will encourage having more and in the selective criteria for making the teams, the youngsters with fewer opportunities will have priority. On the other hand, we will involve some local young people with fewer opportunities indirectly during our activities, cave and museum visits.
Number of young people with fewer opportunities directly involved in the project (out of the total number of participants indicated in Part IV, Table A of this form): 6 Please tick the situation(s) they face: Social obstacles Educational difficulties Geographical obstacles Economic obstacles Cultural differences Other please specify: Disability Health problems
