Brad Sterley

Director Standard Chartered Bank Brad joined Standard Chartered Bank in September 2006 as a member of the RenewableEnergy & Environmental Finance (REEF) team that forms a specialist industry resource to provide Standard Chartereds clients with advisory, financial structuring, M&A, principal finance and debt funding services globally. Prior to Standard Chartered, Brad gained six anda half years of Project and Structured Finance experience at ANZ Investment Bank inAustralia and Singapore. Prior to joining ANZ, Brad gained three and a half years of Projectand Structured Finance and other banking experience in South Africa. Brads experience includes transactions in the Power (renewable and non-renewable),Mining, Oil & Gas, Telecommunications and Infrastructure sectors. While in Australia, Brad spearheaded ANZs renewable energy focus in the project finance market and was responsible for financing the first Australian wind farm to be constructed under anonrecourse structure. Since joining Standard Chartered, Brad has been responsible forStandard Chartereds REEF business in Asia and has executed, and is currently executing, a number of REEF advisory and arranging assignments. Representative renewable energytransactions include arranging the finance for the 52.5MW Challicum Hills wind powerproject in Australia, arranging the finance for the 1,086MW Nam Theun 2 hydropowerproject in Laos (in which Brad led the Technical Bank and Insurance Bank roles on behalf of the international lenders), acting as financial advisor for the acquisition of a bio-ethanolplant in Thailand, arranging the finance for a biomass to energy plant in China and acting asstrategic advisor for the development of pipeline of wind farms in China. Brad holds aMasters of Commerce degree from the University of Natal, South Africa.
