Subject: Applying for the position of Driver Dear Sir or Madam

In response to the announcement made by SNV (Netherlands Development Organization) looking for a full time driver based in Phnom Penh for the project day to day operation. I have read the duties and requirements; I feel that I am fit with the position. I have enclosed my Curriculum Vitae to express my interest in applying for this position. I have correct vehicle driver's license and willing to contribute my experience and driving skills for fulfilling transportation needs for SNV. I am stable calm and honest and interested in people. I am currently working with GIZ Renewable Energies Project based in Phnom Penh as a driver and office assistant. I am responsible for the project car such as delivery and collection of mail, drive carefully and safely according to the Cambodian traffic rules, and ensure that all vehicle occupants fasten seatbelts at all times. Maintenance of project vehicles, keeps vehicle logbook and records for every journey, the date, place and distance covered for monthly check and any problems encountered. Checks oil, water, brake and clutch fluids on a daily basis; tyre pressures, battery water, and overall vehicle condition on a monthly basis or after 5000 km whichever comes earlier; tests lights, brakes; inspects bodywork for dents, etc.

I am also responsible for: Submits fuel receipts to Office Administrator immediately after refilled diesel. Submits monthly reports on fuel consumption in Excel spreadsheets to the Office Administrator Submits the logbook monthly to the Office Administrator and subsequently to the Team Leader for approval.

In addition, I am also works as an office assistant assists other project staff as requested in all appropriate clerical tasks (e.g. photocopying, binding, preparation of workshop materials and venues, preparation of meeting rooms, etc.) Assists the Office Administrator with organising receipts, and other simple accounting tasks I am really thankful to you for taking time to review my cover letter and consider it.
