Second written report Status report

Fall 2011

Engineers typically report their progress in status reports. Depending on the situation, you may be required to report your progress to your project manager, investors in your company, or directly to your customer. These status reports enable management to better plan for the future and allocate resources most efficiently. Well, at least that is how it works in principle. For this assignment, I would like you to prepare a status report describing your progress on your project. Your status report should include the following sections: An overview of your project. You should describe what the project will do and a brief description of the circuitry that will be utilized to get it done. This should take about one page of text. You may want to copy the schematics included in this document. A description of the work that has already been done (one to two pages). A description of the tasks that still remain to be completed. This will probably require half a page or so. A chart containing: o Percentage of hardware completed o Percentage of software completed Your opinion as to the probability of completing the project on time. (one paragraph). Finally, our real goal with this class is not to build a clock, it is to introduce the field of electrical engineering. I would appreciate any feedback you might have as to how to make the course more effective and enjoyable.

The assignment must be submitted via safe assign. It is due on Wednesday December 7th.
