Woolbright, have been in full take over the last week and have really enjoyed working with each of your children. It was great meeting some of you at portfolio night and I look forward to meeting those of you I did not get the chance to meet at a future date. This week we focused on the difference between moths and butterflies. Ask your child for some differences between the two! We have been doing a lot of sequencing activities on this topic and the students are doing a great job using sequencing words such as first, second, third, next, then, and finally. We are starting our unit on eggs and chicks. Our eggs arrived today and the students were very eggcited! Next week, we will continue discussing eggs and chicks. We will talk about the parts of an egg and also do our very own egg dissection using hard boiled eggs! We will also work on Easter activities and begin addition. Continue working on reading with your child and encourage using expression while they are reading with you! We will have our spring party and Easter egg hunt in the afternoon. Our party will be at 1:30. Thank you in advanced for all of the parents who will send in treats for the party. So thankful to be placed for my student teaching at such a great school!
