turned every way. (Traces the Flaming Sword before the entrance and turns to face the Sgan.)

(Shomer hCherev performs the Rite of Sealing, salutes Sgan and takes position in the West of the hall.)

(Taher goes to the central altar and takes up the candle. Goes to the East, faces East, and raises candle.)

them He formed Heaven in the Universe, hot in the Year, and the Neschamah in the Soul.
(Taher traces in all four quarters, return to the central altar, facing East. Taher traces T towards the East,

Taher: I purify this temple by the power of Shin.
(Replaces candle and takes up the cup. Goes to the East, faces East and raises cup.)
Taher: He made Mem king over water, and He bound a crown to it, and He combined one with another, and
with them He formed Earth in the Universe, Cold in the Year, and the Nephesch in the Soul.
(Traces in all four quarters, returns to the central altar. Traces o towards the East and raise cup, saying:)
Taher: I cleanse this temple by the power of Mem.
(Replaces cup and takes up the incense. Faces East and raises incense.)
Taher: He made Aleph king over breath, and He bound a crown to it, and He combined one with another, and
with them He formed Air in the Universe, temperate in the Year, and the Ruach in the Soul.
By alef (trace ), the tongue of the blanace, I delcalre that the Hall has been made Pure and Holy.
(Taher Returns incense to altar, returns to place.)
Sgan: Let the elements be seperated so the dross may be removed, the shells broken.
(Moreh, Taher and Karoz advance to central altar, moving clockwise until they are opposite their starting
direction. Officers take up their elements and return to their altars, moving clockwise.)
Sgan: +
Taher: (Raises candle) Through the power of Esh and the great name D^ I open the Temple. Let the
Temple be filled with Judgement and Creation.
Moreh: (Raises cup) Through the power of Mayim and the great name ^ I open the Temple. Let the Temple
be filled with Mercy and Abundance.
Karoz: (Raises incense) Through the power of Ruach and the great name + I open the temple. Let the
Temple be filled with Justice and Purity and let the elements be balanced on the tongue of the scale.

Let the Everflow descend into this sacred place. The day is Thine, and the night is Thine; Thou hast
prepared the light and the sun. Let us form the whorls of the sacred rose.
(The Circumambulation of Creation goes as follows: Karoz circumambulates clockwise once, all vibrate +.

Ritual of the Grade of the Triune Scale
Sgan: Brothers and Sisters, we have gathered here today to bare witness to the raising of the man _________
to the Grade of the Triune Scale, a probationary grade, within the Kabbalistic Order of the White Rose.
Honored Shomer hCherev leave the hall and oversee the preperation of the Candidate for initiation.
Once prepared, conduct the Candidate to the portal in the traditional manner.
(Shomer hCherev salutes Sgan with sword then turns West to leave. Shomer traces the Serpent of Wisdom
before the doorway, exits and then retraces Flaming Sword before the door.
(Under Shomers supervision, Zakeef hCherev prepares Candidate. Candidate is seen to be in black robe with
nothing on his feet.)
Zakeef hCherev: (To the Candidate.) You will now rise and raise your arms out like this (Shows Sign of the
Scales).
(Zakeef hCherev blindfolds Candidate and says:)
Zakeef hCherev: In this darkness may the Divine Light take root.
(Zakeef hCherev binds Candidate three times around waist:)
Zakeef hCherev: May this restriction lead you to ultimate freedom.
(Zakeef hCherev places lamen of Candidates name/the Yaldey Emesh around Candidates neck in silence.)
(Shomer hCherev now leades Candidate towards the portal. Zakeef hCherev traces the Serpent of Wisdom
before the doorway, Shomer hCherev and Candidate approach.)

(Moreh moves clockwise to portal.)
Moreh: Honored Sgan a Seeker, bound and in darkness, approaches our holy temple.
Sgan: How does he approach?
Moreh: He comes lead by a Pillar of Cloud and a Pillar of Fire.
Sgan: I then give permission for _________ to enter our sacred temple. Let him now loose his name so that
he shall now be known as Yaldey Yaldey Emesh, Child of Yesternight. Conduct the Yaldey Yaldey Emesh into the
temple and see that he is prepared for initiation into our Order.
(Shomer opens the veil of the portal, Moreh guides Candidate into the hall while saying:)
Moreh: Child of Gloom, leave yesternight behind thee and enter the day of glory.
(The veil is closed again as Candidate and Shomer enter. Zakeef silently traces the Flaming Sword before the

Sgan: Honored Moreh, conduct the Yaldey Yaldey Emesh to my altar that the vow of obligation may be
given.
(Moreh guides Candidate clockwise around temple then between the fire and water altars to the Sgan.)
Sgan: Yaldey Yaldey Emesh, I hold here your signed petition for entry into this order, as well as your pledge of
secrecy regarding anything that you have or will learn about this order.
Honored Moreh, prepair the Yaldey Yaldey Emesh for his oath.
Moreh: Child of Gloom, I must ask you ere we proceed if you are still willing to this solemn obligation in the
presence of the regularly assembled Shekinah Temple of the Kabbalistic Order of the White Rose, to
keep the secrets and mysteries of order inviolate? Are you willing to take this sacred vow?
Candidate: I am.
Moreh: Honored Sgan, the Yaldey Yaldey Emesh is prepaired.
Sgan: Yaldey Yaldey Emesh, kneel on both your knees, place your right hand in my left, and bow your head;
remembering that there is nothing contained in this obligation that is contrary to thy civil, moral, or
religious duties.
(Candidate is assisted to kneel. Moreh stands behind Candidate, lamp raised. Shomer hCherev comes fore-
ward to stand silently beside Candidate.)
Sgan: Now, repeat your full name which you are known on earth and say after me:
I (Candidates name), in the Light of the Divine Presence and in this Hall of the Triune Scale of the
Kabbalistic Order of the White Rose, regularly assembled under Dispensation from the Custodians of
the Order, do, of my own free will do hereby (Sgan touches Candidates Right Hand with his own left
hand) and hereon (Sgan places his right hand over his Tiferet gilgal) sincerely and solemnly take this
my magical oath.
I vow to keep secret all those teaching unique to this Order which have been entrusted to me; neither
copying them nor allowing them to be copied without due permission from the Custodians of the
Order. I will keep secret this Order, the names of its members and everything which happens within its
meetings and ceremonies, from anyone who has not been initiated into it; nor will I discuss them with
any member who has not the watchword for the current season, or who has resigned, demitted or been
expelled.
I further promise to act with respect and fraternal love towards all members of this Order. That I will
uphold and encourage them in all that is honorable and right; that I will ever extend to each brother
and sister the hand of compassion and the hand of truth, just as all those who have come before me
have pledged.
Finally, I swear that if I knowingly break this sacred vow I invoke the right hand of the Holy Shekinah,
who wieldest the Sword of Justice, (Shomer places blade of sword on Candidates neck) that the evil
I have caused may react upon me. But, in keeping my magical oath let that Sword of Justice guard me
on all sides and may her left hand uphold me and guide me. (Removes sword and returns to place.) So
help me my Beloved, the Bride and the Bridegroom, and the author of Lights.
Sgan: Let the Yaldey Yaldey Emesh be weighed upon the Triune Scale that the sacred Rose may flower within.
(Moreh assists the Candidate to rise and leads him to the station of the Taher. All present vibrate D^ while
Moreh and Candidate circumambulate. As they pass the station of the Taher the first time, Taher knocks once.
The Moreh raises the hoodwink saying:)
Moreh: Thou hast step foot upon the Triune Scale, before the Celestial Court. Enter thou the Pan of Liability.
(All present begin to make a soft hissing sound (sssss) quietly.)
Taher: O that thou wouldst rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains might quake at thy presence
- as when the fire kindles brushwood and the fire causes water to boil - to make thy name know to thy
adversaries, and that the nations might tremble at thy presence!
He made Shin king over fire, and He bound a crown to it, and He combined one with another, and with
them He formed Heaven in the Universe, hot in the Year, and the Neschamah in the Soul.
(Taher traces the letter T over Candidates head.)
Within these words lies the hidden secret of Esh. Search within that they may be revealed to the world.
(Hissing ceases and hoodwink is replaced. Shomer hCherev now takes candidate and Moreh returns to sta-
tion. Shomer hCherev and Candidate circumambulate the hall once then go to the Morehs station. As the sta-
tion of the Moreh is passed the first time, Taher knocks once. All vibrate ^ during circumambulation. Shomer
hCherev raises hoodwink saying:)
Moreh: Thou hast step foot upon the Triune Scale, before the Celestial Court. Enter thou the Pan of Merit.
(All present begin to hum quietly.)
Karoz: As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than
your thoughts. For as the rain an the snow come down from heaven, and return not thither but water
the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my
word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shlal not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that
which I purpose, and prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

candidate and Shomer hCherev returns to the East of the Hall. Moreh and Candidate circumambulate the hall
once then go to the Karozs station. As Karoz is passed once, Karoz knocks. All vibrate + during circum-
ambulation. Shomer raises hoodwink saying:)
Shomer: Thou hast step foot u Thou hast Thou hast pon the Triune Scale, before the Celestial Court. Behold! the Tongue of step foot u step foot u
Decree awaits.
Moreh: By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all their host by the breath of his mouth. He
gathered the waters of the sea as in a bottle; he put the deeps in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the
Lord, let all the inhabitants of the world stand in aew of him! For he spoke, and it came to be; he
commanded, and it stood forth.
He made Aleph king over breath, and He bound a crown to it, and He combined one with another, and
with them He formed Air in the Universe, temperate in the Year, and the Ruach in the Soul.
(Moreh traces the letter over Candidates heart.)

the mysteries of the Triune Scale.
(Karoz takes up scepter and leads the Probationer to his place in the West, between the two pillars. Karoz then
moves clockwise to stand before central altar. Karoz faces the new Probationer.)
Karoz: May Severity be tempered with Mercy. May Loving kindness be strengthened with Might. May
balance come to all on the Path of the Righteous.
Karoz: Brother, many are the mysteries of this grade. First, there are four main officers in this grade. The
Tahar is in charge of all purifications and consecrations within the hall. His symbols are those of fire,
water and air, and thus does he symbolically represent the Grade of the Triune Scale.
It was the Moreh who led you through the hall when you were in darkness, the sacred Light
guiding your way. It is his duty to guide all those who walk in Gloom seeking the Light. His symbol
is the sacred Light, and it was from Light that all things were brought into being.I am the Karoz, the is the sacred Light, and it was from Light that all things were brought into being.I am the Karoz, the
herald of the Divine. My station is at the point of the Triangle formed the Taher, it is here that I balance
the energies of Mercy and Severity. It is my duty make all anouncements and proclamations within
the hall, at the command of thehonored Sgan. I cary the scepter of the Triangle of Light which
represents the manifestation of the voice of the Divine on Earth.
The Sgan is the master of the hall and stands at its focus. He is the initiator into the mysteries and it
is through his power and authority that I am able to reveal these mysteries to you. The Sgan wares the
White Rose, symbolic of the Order and carries the Staff of Neshutan.
There are two lesser officers as well, the Shomer hCherev and Zakeef hCherev. The Shomer hCherev
moves between this sacred hall and the outer world of the profane and it is his duty to oversee the per
peration of the Candidate and to conduct the Candidate into the hall. The Zakeef hCherev stays with
out the hall and prepares the Candidate for initiation and protects the hall from Darkness. Both bare the
symbol of the flaming sword of the Kerubim.
The sign of this grade is known as Ot hMoznaim or the Sign of the Scales. It was in this position that
the Zakeef hCherev places you when you were blindfolded and bound before entering the Temple. It
signifies your willingness to be judged according to your own merits. Raise your arms in a cross-like
shape, with your palms up as though balancing weights upon them. Your head is facing straight
forward.
The grip or token of the grade is thus: place both of your arms out, palms down. This is symbolic of
your stage as the Yaldey Yaldey Emesh, the Child of Yesternight and Gloom. I now place my arms below
your and we grasp forearms, this affirms the Light penetrating the darkness.
The Word of this grade is Emesh, which is spelled alef, mem, shin. It is spoken in this position in an
exchange of letters thus. Alef . . .
Probationer: Mem . . .
Karoz: Shin.
The knock of the Grade is three strikes, thus + + +. These three knocks represent the three letters of the
Word of the Grade, Emesh.
Finally, the watchword for this season is ____________. It is changed every year at the Winter
Solstice, when the sun is reborn, so that a member who has resigned, demitted or been expelled
may be ignorant of it.
Sgan: Honored Karoz, I command that the rope, last remaining symbol of darkness be removed.
(Karoz hand scepter to Sgan and removes rope, saying:)
Karoz: I hereby remove the rope of restriction and servitude.
Sgan: Honored Karoz, you have my leave to declare that our Brother ________ has been initiated into the
Mysteries of the Grade of the Triune Scale.
Karoz: By the command of the Honored Sgan and by the power of Lady of the White Rose, hear ye all, that
I proclaim that ___________ who is known amongst us as Brother _____________, has been duly Brother Brother
admitted to the Grade of the Triune Scale in the Zero Degree.
Brother, rise and come with me.
(Karoz leads Probationer back to Karozs station. Present here is the Temples list of membership. Karoz
directs Probationer to sign the list.)
Karoz: Now, Brother truely, remember always thy obligation to this Order. Keep it with thee the rest of thy Brother Brother
days like a pillar of cloud, and the rest of thy nights as a pillar of flame. You may now take your seat
in the West.
