Equine ulcers We believe the Ulcer Block treatment is a revolutionary way to threat such a prominent problem in performance horses. Up to 90+% of performance horses have some type of stomach irritation or ulceration. This product is designed to return the stomach bacteria to a balanced condition and heal the lesion quickly without disturbing the natural flora and digestive processes in the stomach. Other treatments focus only on the reduction of stomach acids to reduce inflammation. The initial case work showed that the killing of excess bacteria and the reduction and healing of the lesions was possible. Normal function of the gastrointestinal system appeared to be normal with a pronounced and immediate reduction in inflammation and irritation of the stomach lining. Final pre market studies are scheduled for the later part of 2010 using three different groups of horses with control animal set at 2, 4 and 8 week treatment programs to determine the ideal frequency, volume and duration of treatment. Application Method Application was administered orally using a syringe. The formulation tastes good to the horse with each treatment 20 mL to 30 mL in volume. The bacterial and fungal pathogens causing the disease were successfully killed and the disease progression was stopped. Severe lameness was observed in two of the studies and soundness was restored in the first week of treatment. A series of four injectable treatments between the hoof walls were administered at different intervals. All four studies proved that the infection could be stopped effectively.
