Here is the full description of the problem. last week Oracle DBA's changed the Infadmin password. which connects to oracle. All the meta data is on Oracle tables. on Sunday night the Informatica server failed with this message. The password is same for Domain and the database. I am not able to access the Admin Console too.... Error Message.

"PCSF_10374\217Failed to persist How to change the Domain, database password on with error [[informatica][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-01017: invalid u sername/password; logon denied"
So yestraday, I encrypted the new password with pmpasswd 'new password'. I changed the encrypted password in nodemeta.xml under sever/config.
"Unable to load domain metadata for domain How to change the Domain, database password on with error [[PCSF_10342] Exception occurred: [[ PCSF_10342] Exception occurred: How to change the Domain, database password on.].].^M\313com.informatica.pcsf.common.exception.PCSF HardException: How to change the Domain, database password on Exception occurred: [[PCSF_10342] Exception occurred: How to change the Domain, database password on.]."
Thanks.

Based on your feedback I took my own Linux installation of 8.1.1 and re-ecrypted the password using the pmpasswd utility. Like you I got the same error on startup. I then did a search on the knowledge base and found an entry on this issue. Based on that entry I posted the following early this morning
"Try this:
Have you tried that yet? That worked for me to fix my nodemeta.xml file.

Don't try to encrypt the password first. The infasetup.sh process encrypts it and updates the file with it. Just put the plaintext version of the password after -databasepassword.
